Knox frowned. He had no friends in France–who would come looking for him?
When Knox came downstairs and saw the extremely familiar figure sitting on the sofa, he thought he was dreaming again.
Hearing footsteps, the woman on the sofa stood up and looked toward him. In that instant, Knoz smiled self mockingly–sure enough, it was his hallucination, because the person before him was Cordelia, whom he’d mistaken for Celia the other day.
Seeing knox rome down, Cordelia also stood up.
“Mr. Whitfield, I’m here to apologize for what happened the other day. I didn’t understand the situation clearly.”
Knox shook his head. “I should be the one apologizing for the other day. I was being ridiculous.”
After exchanging pleasantries, Knox asked about Cordelia’s purpose for coming.
Cordelia looked serious. “It’s like this–before my cousin passed away, she sent me a final voice message with some things to say about you.”
Cordelia paused, studying Knox’s expression before tentatively asking, “Would you like to hear it now?”
