How could he not love Celia?
Whether in the previous life of this one, he had loved her desperately!
Yes, Knox had also been reborn.
After he died holding Celia’s corpse in the flames in his previous life, he thought he would descend into hell.
Instead, when he opened his eyes again, he found himself reborn–back to when they were newlyweds.
At first, Knox was ecstatic. He could see Celia again! Last time, his negligence had led to Celia being deceived by her childhood friend, ultimately kidnapped and tortured.

This time, he vowed to treat Celia well and expose her childhood friend’s true nature.
But when Knox saw the distant coldness in Celia’s eyes, he suddenly realized that Celia hadn’t been reborn. The current Celia still didn’t love himn–still found him repulsive.
Knox felt deeply wronged. He had loved Celia for two lifetimes. Why wouldn’t she spare him a single glance?
So, at his friends‘ suggestion, Knox forced himself to withdraw his love and treat Celia with the same coldness she showed him.
His goal was simple: make Celia come to him first, make her realize
how important his love was to her.
If Celia could eventually come around and choose to love and cherish him properly, they could continue living happily together. If not, Knox was willing to let her go with Mason.
But plans never keep up with changes. Knox never expected that Celia had also been reborn.
When he saw Celia joyfully throw herself into his arms, sobbing and apologizing, saying she’d been blind to hurt him and promising to treat him well and love him from now on…
In that moment, Knox felt like he’d won the lottery.
But he quickly calmed down and pushed Celia away, afraid she might deceive him again like in the previous life–first sweet–talking him, then immediately running off with Mason.
Though Celia repeatedly promised she’d r reformed and no longer loved Mason, wanting to love him properly instead, Knox decided to be cautious to avoid being fooled like before.
He wanted to teach her a lesson.
So Knox scrapped all the plans he’d made upon rebirth.
Since Celia was reborn and wanted to make it up to him, Knox decided to give her a chance to see how far she’d go to compensate him.
So Knox continued being cold to Celia. To make sure he was heartless enough, he even found a mistress to act out scenes that would hurt her.
He forced Celia’s mother onto the operating table to donate a liver to Vivian, strapped Celia to an electric chair, a drop tower, and even threatened to feed Celia’s parents to sharks to make her reveal Vivian’s whereabouts.
Watching Celia’s love for him gradually fade into numb despair, Knox was lying if he said he wasn’t panicked. But then he thought–didn’t Celia say she loved him? How could she give up after just this little pain?
He’d endured a thousand times worse in the previous life.
Moreover, Celia had even framed Vivian out of jealousy, causing his grandfather to become vegetative.
So in the end, Knox decided to send Celia abroad to cool off.
When Celia calmed down, he’d bring her back.

Trecha returned home and admitted hör mistakes, having learned her lesson, Knox would tell for shout his rebirth-
They would completely reconcile, put the past behind them, and start fresh.
Knox had beautiful plans, but accidents always come first.
Celia’s plane crashed with no survivors.
Thinking of this, Knox slapped himself hard several times.
Why? Why did things turn out this way?!
He never wanted Celia to die!
If he’d known this would happen, he never would have put her on that plane or sent her abroad!
If he hadn’t done that, wouldn’t Celia be standing safely before him right now?
