The Rejected Luna 6

The Rejected Luna 6

EPISODE

Daniel’s patience had run out. His subordinates had searched every inch of the pack’s territory scoured the dense forests, and even checked the borders, but there was no sign of me anywhere My scent had vanished without a trail, as if the forest itself had swallowed me whole

Daniel stood in the center of the clearing, his muscles rigid with tension as he listened to their

report

You’re telling me she just vanished? His voice was dangerously low, his wolf barely restrained beneath his skin

One of his trackers, Jarek, shook his head. We don’t know how she did it. There’s no trace of he scent beyond the borders. It’s as if she disappeared into thin air.”

A growl rumbled deep in Daniel’s chest. His eyes flickered with frustration and barely contained rage. He refused to accept that I had simply disappeared without a trace

Then find her,he ordered, his voice snapping like a whip. Search the nearby wolf packs, the rogue territories, the highlands, everywhere! She couldn’t have gotten far.”

The moment his words left his mouth, a soft but unwelcome voice interrupted. Daniel, you have to calm down.”

Helen approached with deliberate steps, her expression falsely concerned. Her hands stayed on her bulging belly, caressing it with all care of the world

Maurice is just being difficult. She’s always been spoiled. You know how she is. One little disagreement, and she runs off expecting everyone to chase after her. It’s selfish, really. She doesn’t consider what you or the pack must be feeling.”

Daniel turned to face her, his golden eyes dark with anger. Enough, Helen.”

She blinked, momentarily caught off guard by the sharpness in his tone

Maurice isn’t selfish,he snapped. And you will keep your opinions to yourself. If all you do is stir trouble, maybe you should stay in the healer’s den where you belong instead of walking around causing accidents.”

Helen gasped. For the first time, Daniel raised his voice at her. Her face twisted in disbelief, and without another word, she turned and left, her shoulders stiff with barely suppressed rage. Daniel barely paid her any mind

He could still feel the bond tethering us together, faint but undeniable. That meant one thing, I was still alive. He clenched his fists, his resolve hardening

No matter where I had gone, he would find me

Meanwhile, I pressed forward through the darkened woods, my heart pounding with every step. The night air was thick with unfamiliar sounds such as the rustling of leaves, the distant cries of nocturnal creatures, the whisper of the wind through the towering trees…

The world had never been so loud before. Every footstep, every rustling branch, even the distant hoot of an owl seemed amplified tenfold. My senses were still adjusting to my newfound ability to hear, and it was disorienting

Every noise was sharp, stabbing into my heightened senses, overwhelming me

I stumbled over a root, barely catching myself before I hit the ground. My breathing was ragged, uneven. I had never ventured this far from the Amethyst Pack before, and now, I was well beyond its borders, walking blindly into the unknown

But I didn’t care

As long as I put as much distance as possible between myself and the place that had suffocated me for years, I could endure this

I wrapped my arms around myself, trying to push past the nausea creeping up my throat. I had no real plan, no idea where I was going

Only that I couldn’t stop

Stopping meant doubt, and doubt meant turning back

A low growl rumbled somewhere in the distance. My breath hitched. I froze, my body went rigid, my ears straining for any sign of danger. But the sound faded, leaving only the eerie silence of the forest

Swallowing down my fear, I pushed forward. My steps became hurried, my pulse quickening. I didn’t know if I was being followed, but I couldn’t take the risk of slowing down

Then, without warning, the ground beneath me gave way

I let out a sharp gasp as my foot caught on a loose patch of earth, and suddenly, I was falling. My hands flailed, reaching for anything to stop my descent. The cold rush of air whipped past me as I braced for the inevitable impact-

But it never came

A firm hand shot out, gripping my wrist just in time

I dangled precariously over the edge of a deep crevice, my heart hammering wildly in my chest. My breath came in frantic gasps as I looked up, eyes wide with shock

A stranger loomed above me, his silhouette barely visible against the dark sky. His grip on my wrist was strong, unyielding

Hold on,he commanded, his voice rough yet steady

I barely had time to process his words before he pulled me up with an effortless strength that sent my pulse racing. Within seconds, I was on solid ground again, my legs trembling beneath me. I collapsed onto my knees, sucking in deep breaths as I tried to steady myself

The man crouched before me, his piercing silver eyes scanning me with curiosity. His scent was unfamiliar

Wild and untamed, carrying hints of pine and rain

He wasn’t from Amethyst

He is a rogue wolf

You’re far from home,” he remarked, his voice low, almost amused

I swallowed hard, my mind racing. Who are you?”

The stranger tilted his head slightly, studying me. Are you alone?”

I stiffened, my hands clenching into fists. I had no reason to trust him, no reason to reveal anything. But something about the way he watched me, the knowing gleam in his eyes, told me

that he was someone dangerous

And for the first time since I had left, I realized I might have been too hasty to leave without protection
