I was born a “Moon Blood,” blessed by the Moon Goddess herself. Unlike ordinary werewolves, my
blood is divine–capable of awakening dormant wolf spirits in injured werewolves and healing disabilities caused by battle or accident.
In my previous life, I used my blood to heal Kaelen Velmoran, the Alpha of the Velmoran Pack, after
an accident left him paralyzed and his wolf in a deep slumber. The elders of the entire Velmoran
family discussed how whoever could heal Kaelen must be his destined Luna–the only mate who would rule the Pack alongside the Alpha.
The Velmoran family arranged for Kaelen and me to hold a bonding ceremony. He marked me, becoming my mate.
On the day of our ceremony, Grace Morris, who had traveled to the snowy mountains to find the
legendary Lunashade Fern for him, fell from a cliff and was missing, presumed dead.
A year later, Kaelen found Grace’s ice–preserved body.
He forced me to try to revive Grace with my blood.
“I only needed to wait for Grace to bring back the Lunashade Fern, and my wolf would have
awakened. She would have been my Luna… You’re the one who killed her!” he accused.
“Elira,
didn’t you say your blood is the Moon Goddess’s holy medicine? Then bring Grace back to
life!” he demanded.
I begged through tears: “She’s been dead for a year. My blood cannot resurrect a dead werewolf…”
But Kaelen’s wolf had lost control, consumed by rage, deaf to anything I said. He slashed my wrists
and throat, letting my blood spill until my life ended.
Before I died, I overheard the Beta servants of the Velmoran family whispering the truth–Grace hadn’t died collecting Lunashade Fern to save Kaelen. After Kaelen became disabled, she had tried
to seduce other Alphas and was pushed off the cliff by a rival Pack’s Luna.
All along, I was nothing but an Omega blood donor in Kaelen’s eyes.

Looking at Kaelen sitting in his wheelchair, I smiled: “Your legs are permanently damaged. No one
in this world can save you.”
Kaelen looked up at me, his Alpha presence overwhelming, anger already burning in his eyes.
“Who do you think you are to say my legs are crippled? Get out!” he snarled.
I turned to his mother with a calm smile: “Madam, since the Moon Goddess blessed my Moonshadow bloodline, we can tell at a glance who can be saved and who cannot. I cannot heal Kaelen’s legs. Perhaps you should consider having another heir while you’re still young.”
As I finished speaking, a crystal glass flew toward me. I shifted my body, and the glass shattered against the floor.
*CRASH!*
The crystal glass worth thousands of moon stones lay in pieces. The Alpha’s rage was nearly
uncontrollable–his wolf hadn’t awakened, but his fury had peaked.
Mrs. Velmoran jumped in fright and quickly apologized: “I’m sorry, Elira. Kaelen has become
somewhat… volatile since his wolf went dormant.”
I shook my head: “A wolf without its claws and fangs naturally becomes agitated.”
Watching Kaelen tremble with anger, I rose and left this once–powerful Alpha family.
Mrs. Velmoran followed me outside, her voice humbled to dust: “Elira, is there truly no other way? If you can save him, you’ll be our Pack’s only Luna. We’ll grant whatever you ask.”
I stopped but kept my gaze cold. It wasn’t that I couldn’t heal him–I didn’t want to.
In my past life, he blamed me for Grace’s death, obsessed with the Lunashade Fern and a lie. If he
had thought clearly, he would have known that Lunashade Fern was merely a supplement, not a
nagical herb to awaken wolf spirits.
What truly healed him was my sacred Moon Blood, blessed by the Moon Goddess herself.
And yet, to save Grace, he not only slit my throat and wrists but allowed me to bleed to death.
