Marilyn

The boys loved having the new pinboard in the alcove, and she’d hooked that phone up to the house’s printer as well as bought photoquality paper for it. So that they could print out and pin up the pictures they’d gotten of their grandparents and their aunts and uncles, their three cousins

Each one of those photos that had been sent already had the names of whom the people in it were on them. Edited by Calvin himself she could only presume, seeing as all of his family were now in the know. The boys liked having all the pictures on that pinboard, liked knowing they had a family outside herself

They’d asked Calvin a bunch of questions about having cousins and would they meet their grandparents, to which he’d stated In due time, if your mother approves, of course. And that had brought them to her to explain what in due time meant

She set that meeting up with Wil for her and the twins on the 20th so they could meet their father, though she had told Wil not to tell Calvin the twins would be there. The boys wanted it to be a surprise, and he’d told her he was all good with that. He thought it was nice of her and the boys to want to surprise Calvin like that..

Calvin and Wil had arrived on Friday evening and the boys had hovered over that phone and app all afternoon watching the plane arrive and then Calvin and Wil making their way to the hotel in Roanoke. She could see the anxious excitement in both the boys, and they found it harder to sit still than normal, once he was there

at the hotel

She chuckled softly when they held the phone out to her. You take it,Callum had stated

Why?she’d asked as she took the phone from him

We’ll tell him about tomorrow,he stated. Too excited not to.”

Hmm, I guess you can consider it an early Christmas present for him from the both of you.she’d smiled at them and seen them go a little wideeyed. It was clearly not something they’d thought about themselves. Though they had asked about Christmas and she’d not really committed to anything. Not really said anything at all on the subject. Only stated I’ll think about it.”

Because she had a plan formulated inside her mind, she had no family herself, so technically she and the children could have Christmas anywhere they wanted, presents could be opened early and some could be packed and taken with her so they could have something to open on the day. They only got one present each from Santa; All the rest were labelled from Mum

The boys also didn’t really need anything, they had everything they wanted other than a pet. She’d never really had the inclination to buy them a puppy. The property here wasn’t fully fenced, only along the roadside. And she’d have to do that if she were to get them a puppy. She wasn’t a cat person, nor did she want a bird, believed they should be able to fly freely. So they were out of the question

She had told the boys when they were old enough, to look after a dog, by which she meant picking u poop every day, and take it for walks and doing the training it would need. Then and only then could they have a dog. But that had grossed them out; picking up the poop, so until they were willing to do that, they weren’t getting a puppy

It did not surprise her that it took the boys ages to finally fall asleep or that they woke up at the c***k of

and then came downstairs and wore her up as well. She just rolled over and muttered It’s too early.”

And pulled the blanket over her once more

Only to have them tug it down Get up.they’d told her

Boys, the meeting isn’t until 10am, it’s barely 0730. Come on, I don’t even need to get up for at least another

hourShe told them

MumThey both whined at her. You have to make breakfast.”

Go make cerealShe told them and chuckled at their pouting little faces. Toast?she suggested. They were more than capable of getting their own breakfast, making toast and cereal

Pancakesthey told her

Oh, I don’t think you got me up early enough for that, she told them with a chuckle. And they were pulling at

her blankets again

Yes we didThey were laughing at her now as she fought them over those blankets and they both realised

she was just teasing tem

GoShe waved them off I’m getting upshe laughed as they ran off yeiling about getting the bowls out

She’d been given the all clear to due on Wednesday and Ashley was no longer needed. Her dizzy spells had

slowed down and the light to dark senonwly no longer affected her. She’d not had one episode in the past

month of wertigeilke sensations

She would be drung out to Roanoke this morning herself. She dressed in blue jeans and a longsleeved dark marcom inti kap, and pulled a warm cost on The boys were dressed much the same as she was. It was cold

Gutside but not snowing what they’d gotten a few weeks ago appeared so far to be it

They still got frost on the ground but no real snow, and so they were just dressed warmly because it was cold

out that mot frenang The boys she saw were running about breathing out, making plumes of mist appear as

she walked to the car in the carport off the bands accommodation

What they were diang right at that manute was no different to what they did every morning. It’s so cold we

cam see our breathVincent called out to her, and then they came to a halt to see who could produce the

most must. She did not jam im, she could always win that had a bigger lung capacity

I can seeshe matted, Come on, hop up in the car, or we’ll be late. She told them and that had them

running night to the car So very obedient today I seeshe chuckled. Oh I wonder why?she stated, and they poked then tongues out at her as they buckled up in the backseat

She’d not allowed them to bring that phone, but they were allowed to have their tablets which they could take

photos with. She didn’t want Calvin to track their armval. it wasn’t necessary as far as she was concerned

She’d always done what she’d said she would

It was a relatively quiet drive from about halfway there, and as she parked the car, both boys were completely

silent. They’d gone from nervous excitement to just nervous now, and she knew it. He might be their father

but they’d never met him in person and though they texted him every day, it was different

meeting human person

upposed to

Will knew the boys would be with her, and he had set this meeting up in the hotel restaurant’s lounging area

for a relaxed morning brunch meeting to make it a less formal setting for Calvin and the boys to meet for the

fist time. She’d agreed that it was probably a better idea than having that first moment in a conference

room

Marilyn walked into the hotel. Her boys were both holding a hand each as they walked through the lobby. She’d already told both of them where the meeting was going to take place, and as she walked into the restaurant she could see Calvin and Wil were seated at a table, not that far away, and the lady by the door asked her if she had a reservation. She nodded I’ll be joining that table over there.” She’d stated nodding to where they were sitting. She couldn’t point to it

ཅང་མང་བོ་བར་ངོ་ཚ་བ

Because both her boys were suddenly clutching at her arms, she saw as both Calvin and Wil stood up. realising she was there. Wil smiled right at her and Calvin kind of looked taken aback. Clearly Wil had kept this under wraps like he’d said he would. She couldn’t even raise a hand in greeting. Because of the death grips her boys had on her

Morning Wil.She greeted him first, Mr Reeves. She stated formally and Wil had to turn his head away and not laugh. She nearly smiled at Wil’s response. He knew she had a fair few memories back. Understood at that moment, she was going to play at not remembering

Morning Marilyn.Wil managed to get out without drawing Calvin’s attention to himself

Her eyes were on Calvin, and they went from the boys to her, and she realised that she’d rendered him speechless. That wasn’t something that often happened or not that she recalled anyhow

II didn’t know you were…

Callum and Vincent wanted to surprise you. Their doing. She stated the truth of the matter

I’d hug you, but”

I wouldn’t. You and I, Mr Reeves, are not on good enough terms for that. Boys, do you want to introduce yourselves to your father? She asked them

They were both kind of hugged into her as they looked up at him. He towered over them. Yes, he’s very tall. She commented and looked at Calvin, Perhaps Mr Reeves, you’d best sit down.” She stated, and he looked right at her. There was a slight frown on his face

Please Marilyn, call me Calvin. He offered as he sat down and then smiled at the boys

Hmm, I don’t think that’s appropriate for our relationship. She stated simply. This is Callum on my right, and Vincent on my left. She introduced them when neither of the boys went to do it themselves, were still quietly just staring at him
