Chapter 75
“Now, the correct approach that you should have taken is for you to ask Laura if she’s available to assist. When she said no, you could ask her if she knows where Charlotte is and you could ask Charlotte for assistance, since she is also a float. However, unless it in an emergency, and needing assistance for a class tomorrow does not constitute an emergency, you do not pull assistants off their assigned duties. Is that a problem, Alpha Daniel?”
“No. No problem,” he says, looking at me a moment longer before looking behind me. “My apologies, Laura. I’m un- used to not getting my way. Do you happen to know where Charlotte is?”
“I’m right here, Alpha. What do you need?” Charlotte asks, walking in.
“There you have it, Alpha,” I say, not budging and holding his gaze.
He looks at me a moment longer, then turns to Charlotte. I turn to Laura and nod for her to go into the kitchen.
“Thank you,” she mouths to me.
I nod. I’ve barely taken two steps when I see Sylvie leaning in the doorway of the kitchen like she was enjoying the show.
“First you take down an Alpha using your strength, then you take one down using your words. I just knew watching you this semester was going to be fun,” she says, smiling at me.
“You could have jumped in, you know.”
“Why? You had it covered, and I was enjoying the shock on Alpha Daniel’s face at you dressing him down. That’s obviously never happened to him before,” she says her smile widening.
“So, did Laura tell you that our resident chef created a menu for the week?”
“She did,” I say and I get busy making lunch.
The rest of the afternoon is busy with classes. Sensory class is quickly becoming my favorite. I love being able to use the time to hone my senses, figuring out what animals I’m hearing in the woods and using my other, lesser senses to help me figure it out. Maybe because Alpha James and I share hearing as our heightened sense, but I feel like he pushes me hard in this class which I like. I already feel like my senses are sharpening.
After that is Finance which gives me a headache and then Dealing with Crisis. By the time the day is done, I’m tired, but I know I’m not done yet.
At dinner, I get a coin from Alpha Benjamin for defeating him in sparring and surprisingly, I get one from Alpha Daniel.
“For appropriately and sternly reminding me of my place here.”

I get several others, as do Ezra and Tyler and even Noah gets a couple. I notice that Logan and Liam have yet to earn any coins at dinner.
When it’s my turn, I give out my coins, saving Sebastian’s for last. The entire time I’m giving them out, I can feel the heat of his gaze. When I finally turn to him, he smiles, watching me with that same heated stare that he had last night.
“For yet again giving me the best, most incredible orgasm of my life,” I tell him, handing him the coin. I notice that my ‘O‘ coin has taken the center spot on his necklace as if he’s proud of it and showing it off.
“I’ll strive to do better,” he says.
“Honestly, Alpha, I don’t know if my body can take it.”
“It can,” he says. It’s like a promise of what’s to come and my entire body clenches in anticipation. I feel my cheeks get pink as heat flows through my body, heading straight to my core.
“Something to look forward to.”
After dinner, I walk up to Sebastian. “Where would you like to meet tonight?”
“Would you be comfortable meeting in my room?”
“Of course. Fifteen minutes?”
“I’ll see you there,” he says.
I go to my room, getting mentally prepared. This is like a class. No. For me, it is a class. So, I think about everything that Sebastian said to the others during class last night and when I have a plan, I walk to his room and knock.
When he opens the door, all thoughts leave me. He’s wearing nothing but a towel slung low on his hips.
“I thought this would be easier.”
“Uh, yes, yeah. That will make things easier,” I say, stepping into his room. “So, um…” I stutter, trying to get my brain working again. The man’s body is fantastic. If I didn’t know better, I’d say he was still an active Alpha. He’s
that fit.
I take a deep breath. “I know that things are a bit different with us, but I thought we’d start where you always start with me, by sitting and talking first,” I say, turning back around once I have control of my hormones again.
