“I only found out that you were still alive after Harry called me and told me that the person involved in the accident was you.” Sarah looked her up and down. “You got into a car accident the moment you returned?”
“I’m fine. I wasn’t the one driving.”
As Rachel fell silent, Sarah smacked her and said, “If it weren’t for the car accident, were you planning on keeping the fact that you returned from us forever?”
Rachel explained by saying, “My original plan was to come here to meet up knew I’d be so unlucky and get involved in a car accident when I arrived.”

“I’ll forgive you for a few hours, but be prepared to receive your judgement tonight.” Sarah said while holding her phone. “I’m making a reservation at a restaurant now. Chris had been looking over the children for almost two days. Allie stuck to him at all times, while Nick rarely came out of the room.
He had initially thought that these two little ones would want to look for Selena. But there was no news from her. It made him feel constantly on edge.
He patiently fed Allie some snacks and started to probe, “Little Allie, why does your brother always stay in his room? Is he feeling unwell? Should I hire a personal doctor to come over to check up on him?”
Allie contentedly ate her snack and shook her head. “Nick is fine. You know that my brother is a bookworm, Uncle Chris. He’s just like Uncle James.”
Upon hearing this, Chris laughed heartily. “Yes, yes, they are very similar. It would be great if you two really were my brother’s children.”
With her bright eyes, Allie turned and asked, “Uncle Chris, are you about to start work soon?”
Chris suddenly remembered and slapped his thigh. “Yes, I do need to start work soon. That’s why I’ve hired a nanny to take care of you two. Is that okay?”
Allie’s sly smile went unnoticed by Chris. The next instant, she returned to her cute and

innocent appearance. “Okay, both Nick and I will behave.
Chris tapped her little nose and asked. “You guys won’t run around naughtily, will you?”
Allie giggled. “Of course not. We promised you that we would stay at home and behave. Then, we will go back home quietly when Mommy returns to the country.”
Chris felt like something was off. However, looking at the two children who were barely older than six years old, he believed there wasn’t much trouble they could cause.
Moreover, they had never been apart from Selena before. Maybe they just wanted to be reunited faster.
With this in mind, Chris didn’t dwell on it too much.
As he stood on the balcony to take a call from his agent, Allie took the opportunity to sneak back into the house. She saw her brother hunched over the computer, tapping away at the keyboard. Incomprehensible lines of codes flashed across the screen, dizzying her.
She leaned in next to her brother and said, “Nick, Uncle Chris is about to go to work. We can get to work immediately. Are you ready with your preparations?”
Nick’s two small hands flew rapidly across the keyboard. “Hmm, almost done. That old man’s firewall is very strong. It took me a bit of time to breach it.”
“Oh, so you’re not done yet?”
“Are you underestimating me?”
Allie shook her head, “Of course I believe in your abilities. It’s just that, if Mommy finds out we’re pranking him, will she be angry?”
Nick snorted, “He almost got the three of us killed. Even if Mommy gets mad at us, I’m still going to take revenge on her behalf.”
