Chapter 19 Sign Now
Zane looked a little unusual after listening to what Janice had just said.

Janice nudged him gently. “You should go and apologize to Rachel. I’m the one who was at fault
Zane’s features relaxed. Seeing how pale her face was, he remarked, “Colin, ask the doctor to give Janice a thorough examination. I’ll come to you later.”
She nodded obediently. She watched as Zane left in a rush. Then, her eyes briefly gleamed with malice, unnoticed by anyone.
Janice clenched her fists in secret.
She didn’t expect Rachel to take the initiative first, making it impossible for her to tell Zane about the accident as she planned. She even had to forcefully let Zane go to her.
Rachel had truly changed.
She was no longer the weak and quiet woman from seven years ago.
Therefore, Rachel became a greater threat to her.
She would never let Zane be taken away from her!
After Rebecca had gone through a thorough examination, Rachel pushed her in the wheelchair out of the ward.
“My annual check–ups have never been this expensive before.”
Rachel smiled, “Don’t worry, someone is paying for it.”
“Oh?” Rebecca suddenly remembered something. “Selena, is Ms. Bailey…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Zane walked over to them from the elevator.
Looking calm, Rachel raised an eyebrow. “Look, the one who’s paying has arrived.”
Rebecca gulped nervously.
Usually, she would only see people like Zane through her phone. Thus, she still hadn’t gotten used to seeing Zane in person almost every day.
Rachel then handed all the bills to Zane. “You’re here to pay, right? Here are the bills.”

Zane took them over in his hands. With a stern face, he said, “Janice is at fault for this accident. How do you want to compensate?”
“Following the traffic laws will do.” Then, Rachel sneered. “We are all law–abiding citizens. You wouldn’t need to use your connections for such a small matter, right, Mr. Jenkins?”
Rebecca, who was still sitting in the wheelchair, wished she could make herself invisible.
After all, she was stuck in the middle of two extremely capable figures.
Zane replied indifferently, “Sure.”
“Great, that’s it then. Let’s wait for the notification from the traffic officers.” Rachel pushed the wheelchair, getting ready to leave.
However, Zane grabbed her arm suddenly, furrowing his brows, “I need to talk to you in private.”
Rebecca then immediately held the wheels on both sides herself. “It’s fine, Selena. I’ll wait for you downstairs.”
Rachel watched as Rebecca left on her own. She turned to Zane afterward, brushing off his hand with disdain. “What else do you want to talk about now?”
“You agreed to work with me.”
“Indeed. You’re a competent person, Mr. Jenkins,” Rachel said sarcastically.
Zane ignored the sarcasm in her tone. “When are we going to sign the agreement?”
She replied, “I can do it now, but you seem busy. And I have things to do in the next two days. So if we’re going to sign the contract, it will have to be two days later. Can you wait, Mr. Jenkins?”
Zane frowned, knowing Rachel was playing tricks again.
“Well, your girlfriend comes first. Let’s meet again in two days.” With that, Rachel turned to leave.
“We can sign it now.”
Janice finished all the checkups. She expected Zane to be waiting for her at the main door, but to her surprise, only Colin was there.
Frowning, she asked, “Where’s Zane?”
Colin lowered his gaze and answered, “Mr. Jenkins has a very important project to sign at the

moment, so he specifically instructed me to wait here for you to finish the inspection. Once he’s done on his end, he will come and find you.”
Janice gritted her teeth after she heard what Colin had just said.
Why did it have to be now?
Zane used to prioritize her no matter what.
The only thing that could let him disregard her like this was definitely the project he was working on with Drew Research Institute.
It must be Rachel!
It was Rachel who caused her trouble again!
