Rachel’s car slammed heavily into the side of the road.
The white BMW didn’t fare much either. It collided with the left side of Rachel’s car.
“Becca, are you okay?”
Rebecca hit her forehead when the crash happened. Holding her forehead, she mumbled, “I’m fine, Selena. I’ll go out and take a look.”
“No, you stay here. I’ll go and take a look outside.”
Rachel got out of the car, only to see Janice getting out of that white BMW.
There was a hint of a frown on Rachel’s face. It was quite a coincidence indeed.
Janice’s face had already turned pale from fear. She was already on the phone with Zane when she got out of the car. “What should I do, Zane? My car crashed.” The moment she saw Rachel, she paused. “Rachel?”
Zane, who was on the other end of the call, frowned when he heard Rachel’s name. “Did you run into Rachel?”
“Zane, I think I crashed into Rachel’s car.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll come over.”
Janice forced a smile, looking stiff. “What a coincidence, Rachel. I crashed into your car.“.
“It’s indeed quite a coincidence.” Rachel glanced at the road and continued, “This is a one–way street, Ms. Bailey. You’re fully at fault in this accident for driving in the wrong direction.”
Janice bit her lip. “Yes, I know. Zane will be here soon. I’m sorry, Rachel. I didn’t mean to hit your car. I just had a blank moment and I stepped on the gas pedal uncontrollably, then I…”
Before she could finish her sentence, she fainted and collapsed into Rachel.
Rachel was speechless.
Rebecca, who was still holding her forehead, came out from the car. She was stunned when she saw how Janice fell into Rachel’s arms.
“Selena?”

Chapter 18 The Sudden Accident
Rachel didn’t expect Janice to faint at all. “Call an ambulance.”
Janice was immediately taken care of when they arrived at the hospital. Rachel pushed a wheelchair to Rebecca, forcing her to sit on it. “Doctor, the patient here has a brain concussion. Please give her a thorough examination.”
I think I’m fine, Selena.”
Rachel lowered her head. “No, you’re not. Listen to the doctor and go get checked.”
Then, Rebecca was pushed away in a daze.
Half an hour later, Rachel was sitting in front of the emergency room.
Zane seemed to be on edge as he walked over to Rachel.
Rachel didn’t expect him to come up to her with a dark expression on his face. He angrily reprimanded, “Do you know that Janice’s body isn’t well and she can’t be scared?”
Rachel found his words extremely ridiculous.
She stood up, glaring at him, “Can you think logically for once? Go check the surveillance, or go ask her about how she fainted.”
Zane frowned solemnly.
Rachel continued in a cold tone, “By the way, she was the one who drove in the wrong direction. The other person in my car was hit. She sustained a brain concussion, and she’s still undergoing medical checkups now. I don’t care how you’re going to protect her, Zane. But if you’re planning to shift the blame in this matter, I’ll go all the way with you, even if it means going to court.”
Colin was afraid that their cooperation would be voided again, looking at how Rachel and Zane were arguing.
Thus, he quickly interrupted, “Ms. Bailey is awake now, Mr. Jenkins.”
Zane cast Rachel a final glare and walked into the ward. Rachel didn’t linger either. The reason why she stayed here in the first place was to wait for Zane to arrive.
As long as she got her point across to Zane, whatever Janice planned to tell him would be meaningless.
She turned away to look for Rebecca.
Zane’s expression softened the moment he saw Janice’s pale face when he entered the ward.
