A new pack
While Vincent was proving himself and building up the Red Wood Branch of the Crimson Moon Pack, Sebrina and Blaze travelled to every Pack under the Crimson Moon Pack’s control to introduce his Luna to everyone. Some of the packs were doing good under the control of the commanders he appointed, but others were not doing so well, and Blaze decided to change the commanders. Blaze is thinking of trying Olaf as a commander and sees if he can change his attitude towards him as he did with Vincent. But tonight, he is handing the Red Wood Branch to Vincent as his Pack, and he will be there for the Alpha, Luna and Blood rituals. Willow, Howard, Shaun and Aleandra always travel with their Alpha and Luna.
Vincent has been talking to his future Luna, and both of them decided, together with the Pack’s elders, to change the Pack’s name. They want to forget about the past of the Pack. They want the wolf packs around them to know that the Pack will be a force to reckon with in the future. They also decided to go into a treaty with the Crimson Moon Pack and become allies, as the Crimson Moon Pack would be a strong ally. Finally, they decided to call the new Pack the Shadow Moon Pack as the moon’s shadow always reflects in the pond near the packhouse when the moon is full. The elders love it, and the Pack feels happy with the name. Sebrina and Blaze are both glad that they are changing the Pack’s name. Sebrina walks over to Vincent, where he is standing alone, looking over his Pack’s land. He is proud of what he has achieved, and it feels good knowing he did it all on his own with no help from his brother. He feels free and independent.
“I want to thank you,” Sebrina says behind Vincent. Vincent turns around slowly.
“Thank me? For what, Luna?” Vincent asks.
“For erasing the last of my hurtful past by changing the pack’s name,” Sebrina says, smiling.
“I owe you and Blaze so much. You gave me a chance to prove myself to the wolves in the Boston area and to
myself. I knew you would love the new name. You are a very special wolf, Luna. You make my brother happy,
and he gave me a chance I did not deserve. You changed him. Blaze did not trust anyone before you entered his life. He was a good Alpha, but you made him a great Alpha. I hope he does not trust Olaf as he trusted me. Olaf is waiting for a chance to build up an army to destroy Blaze. He is full of hatred, and you should not allow Blaze to trust him, not even with a branch of the Crimson Moon Pack. Olaf is sly and a good actor, please remember my warning. He might be my brother, but he is evil to the core,” Vincent warns Sebrina, and
he knows she will protect Blaze.
“I will try my best to convince Blaze not to give him a branch. Thank you for the warning, and I might need
your help in the future,” Sebrina says.
“I will always be ready to help you, Luna. You saved me from me,” Vincent says. Sebrina smiles at him as she walks away to her mate, waiting for her. It is almost time for the ceremonies. First, she will have to think of a plan to stop Blaze from giving Olaf a chance to prove himself. Then, she needs to think of something to keep Olaf close to them so she can keep her eye on him. Sebrina knows she can trust Vincent as he has proven himself repeatedly. She is glad Mary–Ann is his mate. Mary–Ann was always kind to her, and when the others teased her or bullied her, Mary–Ann was the only one standing by her side. The ceremony starts, but firstly
Blaze walks to the front with Vincent.
“I, Blaze Walker, Alpha of the Crimson Moon Pack, hands this lands and the Red Wood Branch of the Crimson Moon Pack over to you. You will be their Alpha, Vincent Walker,” Blaze says. Vincent smiles at his brother and
walks forward.

“I, Vincent Walker, accept the responsibility of the new Pack as their Alpha. This Pack, from here on forward,
will be known as the Shadow Moon Pack, and as Alpha of this Pack, I promise to protect this Pack and its
member with my life,” Vincent says. Then he turns to Mary–Ann.
“I, Vincent Walker, Alpha of the Shadow Moon Pack, accept you as my mate and Luna, Mary–Ann Palmer,”
Vincent says.
“I, Mari–Ann Palmer, pack doctor of the Crimson Moon Pack, accept you as my Alpha and my mate, Vincent Walker,” Mary–Ann says. She is still a member of the Crimson Moon Pack until the blood ritual is performed.
Then, the Alpha and Luna ceremonies will follow, although, in reality, Vincent is already the Alpha of the Shadow Moon Pack as Blaze gave him the ground and the Pack. It is primarily a formality, but the werewolves are traditional creatures and will always keep to their traditions. The blood ritual follows, and every member of the old Red Wood Branch of the Crimson Moon Pack steps forward, cutting their hands as Vincent did and spilling their blood in the same cup he did. They promise to be loyal and faithful to the new Shadow Moon Pack, and the Crimson Moon Members feel the bond breaking with the wolves of the new Shadow Moon pack. Finally, the Alpha and Luna ceremonies follow. Vincent walks forward again.
“I, Vincent Walker, Alpha of the Shadow Moon Pack, promise to be loyal and faithful to you, the members of the Shadow Moon Pack. I will protect you, fight by your side, and die with you in war. On behalf of the Shadow Moon Pack, I will always be allies of the Crimson Moon Pack, and we will help you whenever you need us. We request a treaty with the Crimson Moon Pack Alpha Blaze Walker,” Alpha Vincent Walker
requests. Vincent cuts his hand, and his blood falls into the Alpha goblet, making him the official Alpha of
the new Shadow Moon Pack.
“Your request for a treaty is accepted, Alpha Vincent Walker,” Blaze says, and they shake hands after each
Alpha cuts his hand with a silver knife to seal the deal in blood as all treaties are sealed. In the werewolf
world, blood is used in every treaty or ritual they perform. Mary–Ann walks forward.
“I, Mary–Ann Palmer, promise as you Luna, I will protect you, fight with you and die with you on the
battlegrounds. I will heal those I can and help those in need. I will be loyal and faithful to the Shadow Moon
Pack and my Alpha,” Mary–Ann says. She cuts her hand with the silver knife, and her blood flows into the
Alpha cup with Vincent’s blood. The ceremonies are over. The Pack goes on a run of their grounds with their
new Alpha and Luna.
Sebrina, Blaze, Willow, Howard, Aleandra and Shaun look on as they run into the darkness. Willow has
learned some spells, but her self–confidence is not at the level that Howard wants it. Her spells sometimes
work as they should, but most of the time, she messes up and luckily for them, when she messes up, it only
lasts for ten minutes. So as the Pack runs away into the darkness, the wolves that remain feel the presents
of evil. They look around as the pack grounds end near the packhouse. The old Red Wood Pack did not think
when they built their packhouse on the northern border or the pack grounds. At that time, the Pack next to
them was a strong Wolf Pack, but over the years, the Pack next to them has moved as they became too big
for the grounds, and it became no man’s land. Vincent is planning to take over the no man’s land and
incorporate it into the Pack, but he first wants to develop the land the new Shadow Moon Pack has.
Sebrina, Blaze, Shaun and Aleandra feel the hair on their necks stand up. They know that feeling, and they know the Pack is far away and will not be able to help them. Luckily Blaze brought some of his best warriors with them. But, it is a dark evil presence, and the wolves know their natural enemy is nearby. Vampires! The next moment a group of fast–moving black figures lands in the middle of the wolves. A wolf’s bite can kill them, but they have speed on their side.

“Begone, evil creatures of the night!” Willow shouts as she casts her spell. The vampires vanish, but Howard rolls his eyes. Willow did it again.
“Evil creatures of the night, begone! You worded it wrong, Willow. Wolves, be ready. The evil, foul creatures will be back in ten minutes, and only the Moon Goddess knows where they will land,” Howard says. The Pack comes running back as they sense that something evil has crossed their borders.
“What is wrong? We sensed trouble,” Vincent asks.
“Be prepared to fight in ten minutes, my little witch over here bought us ten minutes to fight vampires, but only the Moon Goddess knows where they will land and how they will land,” Blaze says.
“Oops, I am sorry,” Willow says, and it looks like she wants to cry.
“You did good, Willow. My wolves need to learn to fight these evil creatures,” Vincent assured her. Willow looks relieved. She smiles through her tears. The next moment vampires come raining from the sky. Some try to turn into bats and save themselves from the fall. However, they are too close to the ground, and the speed they come down is too fast to stop them from hitting the ground or falling on the wolves, who are as taken aback as the vampires. It is chaos. The wolves start biting at the vampires, and the vampires try to use their speed to get away, but they are outnumbered by the werewolves now. Their mission was to grab the Alpha Blaze Walker’s Luna and be gone before anyone could stop them.
“Ouch, you bit me!” One shouts out in pain as Aleandra bites him. He knows he will die in a few hours as a werewolf’s bite is poison to a vampire. Only the blood of an Alpha or Luna can save him now.
“Stop the fighting,” Keegan, the son of one of the elders of the Vampire Coven, shouts.
“Why should we stop killing you?” Blaze asks.
“Because we only wanted your Luna. Our mission was to bring her to the elders of our coven. But
unfortunately, I am injured, and one of your wolves bit me. I will tell you why if you heal me,” Keegan says.
“If I heal you, you will be my slave according to the rule of Vampires. I do not want a nasty thing like you following me around all day. So I would rather let you die. Take this injured one and leave the grounds of the
Shadow Moon Pack,” Blaze orders.
“Wait!” Sebrina shouts out. It is the first time in years since Vampires attacked werewolves. Why now? And
what the hell do they want with her? Sebrina is curious, and she wants to prepare herself for more such attacks. A coven of Vampires will not willingly attack werewolves. They are afraid of the bite of a werewolf. She bites into her palm and gives Keegan some of her blood. Blaze does not look happy, but he knows he
sometimes has to listen to his Luna.
“I am Keegan and will be your slave as long as I live,” Keegan says.
“So tell me, why did you attack us and whose orders? What do you want with me?” Sebrina asks.
“Calm down, Luna, one question at a time. We came out of our own free will. We wanted to negotiate with your Alpha, and we knew he would not talk to us unless we had leverage. So we were planning on grabbing you and using you as a way to speak to Alpha Walker for protection. Lately, your brother Olaf has gathered a pack of rogues, and they are all staying near our coven. We had no beef with you guys for years even though our coven was close to your Pack. We let you live in peace, and you left us in peace. Then, Olaf came to us and told us he would release the rogues on us if we didn’t fight on his side of an upcoming war. We do not know who he wants to fight, but he pesters all the creatures around your Pack: dark witches, us and even the

rogues. All we want was to ask you to leave us out of your war,” Keegan explained.

“Okay, first of all, we are not planning any wars. Second, no one permitted Olaf to round up creatures to fight in a war and thirdly, although Sebrina saved you, you are free as I will grant you, your freedom. I will talk to Olaf and find out what is going on and why he is trying to get you and other creatures to fight in a war that I know nothing about,” Blaze says. Keegan looks at Blaze, glad he could talk to him and happy he is set free of
his obligation as a Vampire to become a slave to the one who saved his life.
“Thank you, Alpha Walker. Maybe Olaf is planning a war against you for the Pack, so I will not confront him and see what he is up to. Instead, we will play along, and I will keep you up to speed. Come to think of it, he never named you or said that you are planning a war. If I were you, Alpha Walker, I would keep an eye on him. We will let you know what we can find out from our side,” Keegan says. It was evident that Alpha Blaze Walker knew nothing about a war, so Olaf Walker must be planning a battle of his own. Sebrina looks at Vincent and thinks about his words earlier today, she is sure Olaf is planning something, and they will need to stop him and stop him fast before he gets too many creatures willing or not so willing to help him.
