Vincent can not believe that he changed overnight. He watched his brother, and suddenly, he felt proud of Blaze. Why? What the f**k happened to him? He was the one that always wanted to run the Crimson Moon Pack and felt robbed of the title of Alpha! What has changed inside him? A wolf does not change like this by watching his half–brother and Luna perform the blood ritual. Something has happened to him, and he suddenly wants to make things right. He wants to run the Red Wood Pack and make his brother feel proud of him. Where did his hatred for Blaze go? Vincent does not understand that the Moon Goddess works in mysterious ways to let her children live in harmony. Her spirit has changed Vincent, and his mate plays a big part in his change in attitude. Vincent looks at the little black hair wolf walking away from him.
“Wait! I am your new commander here, and you have to listen to me now,” Vincent says. She stops and turns around. She walks back to Vincent and stands in front of him.
“What do you want from me, Vincent Walker? I do not have time to waste as I have a job to do. I wouldn’t say I like wolves that think they are more human than a wolf and hang out in town all the time. What are you going to do for the Red Wood Pack? Teach us how to gamble and mingle with humans?” Mary–Ann Palmer asks
Vincent.
“What if I tell you I am a changed wolf? What is your name?” Vincent asks.
“My name has nothing to do with you, and I will not tell you until you have proven that you can look after my
Pack and do not want to freeload on us as you did for years of your brother and his Pack. I respect Alpha
Blaze Walker and his Luna Sebrina Walker. They worked for what they had, and when the wolves of this Pack
mistreated Sebrina, she came back better and more beautiful than before. But, on the other hand, you never
proved to anyone in the packs around Boston that you are worthy of our respect! You are like Leona, Luna Sebrina’s twin sister. You think you are entitled to everything because you have looks and are wealthy,”
Mary–Ann says.
“So you think I am handsome?” Vincent asks.
“That is all you heard from what I had to say to you?” Mary–Ann says and walks away. Vincent smiles. He
calls one of the Red Wood Pack members closer.
“That black hair waitress, who is she?” He asks.
“She is Mary–Ann Palmer. The pack doctor. She is helping out tonight as a waitress as she always loves to help out where she can,” The wolf answers him. Vincent smiles, so she is the pack doctor. Good to know! Vincent is also happy he knows her name now. But, he will not accept her as his mate tonight. Vincent knows she knows they are mates, but he will first prove himself and win the respect of this Pack and their little pack doctor. Vincent is happy he will be close to her from now on.
Blaze calls Vincent to the front and introduces him to the rest of the Red Wood Pack. He tells them that Vincent will take over the Pack and wants to prove himself to them and the rest of the werewolf packs around. He asks them to support Vincent and help him where they can. Vincent walks forward.
“I know I have not been the best werewolf around. I mingled with humans and sponged off my brother and the Crimson Moon Pack, but I want to become like you and am willing to work hard to build a decent school and hospital for the Red Wood Branch of the Crimson Moon Pack. We will do it on our own as we are now family. I will not let you down, and I appreciate my brother’s trust in me. Blaze, Sebrina, thank you for this

down, and I will not let you down,” Vincent says. The wolves do not know what to make of it and decide to
give him a chance.
“Every wolf deserves a chance to prove himself, and I know you will show us that our trust in you will pay off,” Sebrina says.
“Thank you, Alpha and Luna. I will not let you down,” It is the first time Vincent called Blaze his Alpha, and he is surprised at himself again. He knows his brothers and sister will be angry when they find out he supports Blaze now, but he doesn’t give a s**t. He has a purpose in life now, and it feels good. Vincent has two other brothers, Olaf, and Emmanuel only has one sister, Florence. On Blaze’s mother’s side, Blaze has one
half–sister, Jacoline and one half–brother Cameron. Blaze has plans for them, but he knows that Jacoline and Olaf hate him the most. Vincent always talked big but never did anything to make Blaze angry. Jacoline and Olaf have. They wanted to kill him on many occasions, but no one wanted to work with them in their attempts as they all feared Blaze. Blaze knows all about their attempts to get someone to help them. Even the hunters around Boston came to him and told him about it. They want no beef with the Crimson Moon Pack and their Alpha. They know he is strong and has the most substantial Pack around.
“Hmm, you got a smooth mouth, Vincent Walker, but it will take more than a few words to prove yourself to the rest of the packs around and me,” Vincent gets a mind–link from Mary–Ann. She does not believe he can
change, and she has no high hopes for the former Red Wood Pack’s new commander.
“I will show you, darling, and prove you wrong,” Vincent links her back. She does not answer him as she does
not want to talk to Vincent anymore. Her wolf is getting too attached to him and his wolf already.
The following morning Vincent is up early. He is a werewolf, and alcohol does not affect werewolves as it
does humans. He had a few drinks with the pack elders and found out what he wanted about the Red Wood
Pack. The Pack were wealthy, but their Luna liked to spend and almost used all their money. Leona was a big
spender, and Josh could never say no to her. Everything was about her, and the Pack came second. However,
their monthly income is good, and Vincent knows he can make it work. Vincent has a lot of money he won in poker games, and he decides to give the new branch of the Crimson Moon Pack a boost. He will invest all his money in the Pack. He transfers his money to the Red Wood Branch’s bank account, and he and the men start working early to clear some of the wood around the Pack where he wants to build the hospital and
school. It is hard work, but to Vincent and the rest of the wolves‘ surprise, he works all day and hardly takes a break. Vincent enjoys working with the wolves, and when he sees his mate, he works even harder.
It does not take them long to clear the woods as they are hard workers and the wolves of the Red Wood Branch start respecting Vincent. He does not sit in an airconditioned office and give orders. Instead, he works with them and gets dirty with them. At night, Vincent can feel his body is tired and hurting as he is not used to hard labour, but his wolf heals him, and he can work the following day again. He is also planning on putting up a playground, football field and other sports fields for the Pack’s youth. He wants the school to be modern and has computers and everything the young wolves will need. Vincent keeps thinking of the Red
Wood Branch as a Pack, and he knows they will become his Pack one day.
It takes them a couple of months to finish the school and the hospital. The buildings are standing proudly at the side of the Pack grounds. Olaf, Emmanuel and Florence have not talked to him since they found out that Vincent is a commander for Blaze now. He knows his siblings are angry at him, but he does not give a s**t as he is happy for the first time in his life. He is working for what he wants, and he has his mate, which is still not trusting him and not talking to him. Vincent is busy losing his patience with her as she is spiteful in his

mind. He has done so much for the Red Wood Pack, and still, she does not believe in him. The playgrounds and sports fields are all up, and the young wolves are impressed. Everyone is impressed by the school and the hospital except the Pack doctor, who did not say a word yet.
Vincent starts training the wolves daily, and one day, while he is training them, he sees Mary–Ann walking up to him with a glass of orange juice in her hand. He is surprised when she hands him the orange juice and shows him to the bench nearby. He follows her, and they sit down to talk
“Why have you not claimed me as your mate yet?” Mary–Ann asks.
“Because I do not want my mate to disrespect me. I want my mate to be proud of me and show me that she is,” Vincent says.
“Well, I must admit you proved me wrong. I respect you as you put all your money and time into this Pack. You have not mingled with humans, and you take your job here seriously. I thought you would get bored with us and leave as soon as the big city lights call you again,” Mary–Ann admits.
“So I surprised you? Well, Mary–Ann Palmer, are you ready to become my mate?” Vincent asks with hope in his eyes.
“I am. I trust you, and I love the way you fit in here. These wolves are my family, and I did not want you to hurt them. But instead, you proved that you loved them and helped them,” Mary–Ann says.
“Mary–Ann Palmer, will you be my mate. I promise I will always love and respect you and look after the wolves of the Red Wood Branch,” Vincent says.
“You will have to ask her again, but tonight, as she will be your Luna,” A voice comes from behind them. Vincent jumps up and stares at Blaze and Sebrina standing behind him.
“What do you mean, Alpha?” Vincent asks.
“I am giving you the Red Wood Branch of the Crimson Moon Pack as your Pack. You will become their Alpha
tonight. So I wanted to top you before you ask Marie–Ann to become your mate and then have to accept her
again tonight as your Luna,” Blaze says. Marie–Ann smiles. She was spying for Blaze and Sebrina and keeping
an eye on Vincent to ensure he was trustworthy. However, they will not tell him that as they do not want to
hurt his feelings.
“You mean that, Alpha?” Vincent asks.
“We are brothers and, as of tonight, equals as we will be both Alphas, so call me Blaze or brother. The Alpha,
Luna and blood rituals will take place tonight, and after becoming Alpha, you can accept Marie–Ann as your
Luna,” Blaze says. The brothers hug each other for the first time in their existence.
I also come with a warning. We had many problems with vampires lately, so be on the watch out,” Blaze says.
Blaze, Sebrina, Willow, Howard and some of Blaze’s warriors will stay for the ceremonies tonight as Blaze will
have to hand over the Pack to Vincent. Vincent feels so proud, and he can not thank his brother enough. Blaze knows he can hand over the Pack now, but he wants it to be unique for his brother, and he wants his
brother’s new Pack to see that he, Blaze Walker, has trust in Vincent Walker and sees him as an equal and a brother. The pack members who were still in doubt will see that Vincent Walker is worthy of becoming their Alpha. They all respect Mary–Ann as the Pack doctor, and when she accepts Vincent as her mate and Alpha, they will have even more trust in Vincent Walker.
