Hearing those words, Tessa’s nerves were on edge the entire time,
She had no idea how to speak to Julian or how to communicate with him.
Because honestly, she didn’t even know why he’d ended up like this.
And even if he had lost his mind, how could he still manage to accuse her so clearly?
What kind of situation was this supposed to be?
Zack, who had been traveling with them, was initially reluctant, but eventually decided to show Tessa some courtesy.
After all, she was someone he’d once had feelings for.
It only made sense to give her this small gesture of respect.
But as he listened to Julian’s rambling, his gaze instinctively fell on Tessa.
Tessa, as if poked by a needle, nearly jumped out of her seat.
“Officer Zack, what’s that supposed to mean?”
She pointed at herself, clearly displeased. “He’s just a lunatic! Are you seriously entertaining anything he says?”
Hearing that, Zack actually found her words made some sense.
They were well aware of Julian’s current state–after all, they were the police.
It suddenly felt like everything had become a lot clearer.
Zack rubbed the bridge of his nose, glancing at Tessa’s profile, unsure of what to say.
It was hard to tell how many fans a woman like her could actually win over.
Tessa couldn’t help but speak again. “This is how a rational person reacts. Who in their right mind would take a madman seriously?”
Her words snapped Zack out of it.
Julian’s current state was well–known at the station
And yet he had actually started to believe wha
If that were the case, wouldn’t that
That couldn’t possibly be right!
That thought brought
mean what
Julian was saying?
placing more trust in a lunatic than in a sane person?
an awkward to Zack’s face.
Tessa caught it instantly, and a glimmer of satisfaction appeared in her expression.
As expected, so long as she kept her head clear, there would always be people on her side.
Julian was just a lunatic who was not worth worrying about.
Zack glanced at Julian, who was still rambling non–stop, and his face began to show irritation.
He walked up to Julian and snapped, “Quiet down! You’re going home soon.
“Stop babbling like that do you even know where you are?”
Julian flinched, shrinking back into the seat, covering his head as he trembled uncontrollably.
“Don’t hit me, please don’t hit me… I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”
He kept holding his head, looking like he wanted to disappear into the chair.
Seeing that, Tessa felt a twinge of discomfort deep down, but mostly, she just felt embarrassed.
Because no matter what, Julian was still her fiancé in the eyes of others.
They were officially engaged, recognized by so many people.
That was a fact that couldn’t be denied.
But in this moment, Tessa truly didn’t want to acknowledge Julian
And they were still on a plane–passengers were starting to look their way.
Tessa quietly lowered her head.
She never imagined her life would come to this.
Where had all her glorious moments gone?
After giving Julian a scolding, Zack returned to his seat.
Seeing Tessa lowering her head as well, he assumed she might be feeling unwell.
So, in a gentle tone, he asked, “Miss Tessa, are you alright? Are you feeling sick?”
