Grace slowly sat up straighter, her gaze flickering as she murmured, “Joseph Hunt?”
Wasn’t he the man her daughter had once bet on?
And now he dared to climb over Walton Corporation?
How did he even have the nerve?
“Yes, the Hunt subsidiary has been deliberately targeting us lately
“No matter what we do, it’s like he’s set on going against us. He even designed a specific plan targeting Walton Corporation.” Jason reported everything to Grace in detail.
She pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling a wave of fatigue from deep within.
Seeing this, Jason poured her a cup of hot water and pulled out a steam eye mask to help ease her exhaustion.
“Madam Grace, your health is just starting to recover. You still need to take care and not overwork yourself.”
After putting on the eye mask, the tight furrow between her brows finally relaxed a little.
She only responded with a soft “Mm.”
But deep down, she knew that if she didn’t shoulder these responsibilities, no one else could.
The project issues could wait, but not the matter with the Hayes family.
After what Julian had done, she and Aurora deserved an explanation.
Moreover, she couldn’t forgive him for causing Tessa to lose her voice.
Grace only rested her eyes briefly before taking off the eye mask, the red veins in her eyes even more pronounced.
Still, she pressed her fingers to her brow and looked at Jason.
“Bring me all the contracts we’ve signed with the Hayes Enterpirses.”
Jason immediately understood which group she meant.
Walton Corporation had only partnered with the Hayes family through the engagement with Grace’s eldest daughter.
As for Hunt Enterprises, the one stealing projects–that group had always been their corporate rival.
They were practically sworn enemies.
Jason didn’t hesitate and immediately brought out all the project contracts.
Over the years, Walton Corporation had quite a few dealings with the Hayes family, big and small.
Grace picked out the most critical projects, then stood up, exuding a powerful aura.
“Get the car ready. We’re going to Hayes Enterprises.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Seeing Grace like this, Jason couldn’t help but feel fired up too.
It had been so long since he’d seen Grace like this.
Time had passed for so long, he had almost forgotten what it felt like.
He had followed her for many years, and witnessed both her glory days and her quiet lows.

But even after all this time, the feeling was still the same.
As long as Grace got back on her feet, that sense of drive would return with her.
Jason drove, bringing along two bodyguards.
The four of them headed straight for Hayes Enterprises.
The receptionist at Hayes Enterprises saw them approach with such imposing presence and felt a flicker of fear.
Still, she stayed professional.
After all, she was getting paid.
She gathered her courage and approached Grace. “Excuse me, do you have an appointment?”
Grace wore sunglasses and didn’t respond.
Instead, she looked at Jason.
He immediately understood. “No appointment.‘
The receptionist was speechless.
Who were they?
They didn’t make any appointment and still came with such arrogance.
These days, some people really thought showing up with a couple of bodyguards gave them the right to storm into Hayes
Enterprises.
“I’m sorry, sir, but without an appointment, I can’t let you in.”
Grace curled her lips into a smile and shook her head at Jason, signaling that there was no need to be polite anymore.
