Leonard started to feel a bit embarrassed under her stare.
He rubbed his nose, then quietly took out the phone.
“Alright, don’t get too excited. I’ll tell you everything.”
Aurora and Lucas didn’t say a word, but the two of them exchanged a glance, both clearly anxious, especially Aurora–she genuinely wanted to know whether Tessa had taken part in this or not.
And if she had, how deeply was she involved?
Even though they were sisters, when it came to matters that affected her directly, Aurora wasn’t about to turn a blind eye.
After all, when Tessa did all of this, did she ever stop to think about her being her sister?
Did she ever act like one?
The thought alone sent a chill through Aurora’s chest.
She lowered her gaze slightly, quietly clenching her palm.
Lucas was seated close enough to sense her shift in mood.
In just a moment, he understood exactly what she was thinking.
He pressed his lips together, then without hesitation, reached over and placed his hand over hers.
He slowly tightened his grip but didn’t say a word.
Aurora was a little surprised.
When she looked up, she met the man’s warm, steady gaze.
She hadn’t expected it but quickly understood what he meant.
Wasn’t this his silent way of encouraging her?
Realizing that, Aurora returned a firm yet gentle smile.
Seeing how anxious everyone was getting, Leonard stopped keeping them in suspense.
He unlocked his phone and began pulling up the files his friend had sent him, tapping each one open as he spoke.
“Actually, after going through everything, my friend didn’t find anything unusual.”
Everyone looked surprised.
Even Megan immediately blurted out, “That’s impossible! I don’t believe it!
“Just look at Julian–and he showed up here with Tessa! No way that wasn’t planned!”

Her loud butburst snapped Aurora back from her thoughts.
She glanced at the files Leonard was showing and couldn’t help feeling something was off too.
From the very beginning, she hadn’t believed there was truly nothing between Tessa and Julian.
Still, something didn’t sit right.
Just like Megan had said- both of them showed up in Millford at the same time.
If someone claimed it was just coincidence, that was hard to swallow.
So, it wasn’t just Megan–Aurora didn’t buy it either.
But for now, she stayed quiet.
Since Leonard had brought out these materials, it must mean there was more to come.
Otherwise, there’d be no point in showing them these files at all.
Aurora couldn’t hold back and asked, “Leonard, did you notice something odd later on?”
