Chapter 819
“No… no, it can’t be… it just can’t…”
Grace paced back and forth, muttering the same words under her breath.
It was obvious her mind was starting to drift.
She gripped her hands tightly, trying to find a shred of security.
But even after pacing several times, she still couldn’t find the answer she was looking for.
Arnold was growing anxious as well.
He couldn’t help saying, “Why don’t we try calling your son–in–law?”
Grace stopped in her tracks and quickly grabbed her phone, her tone flustered.
“Yes! How could I forget that? Let’s call him now! I want to see what exactly they’ve done to my daughter!”
Her heart was full of worry for Aurora.
She only had one daughter, and yet she was still lying unconscious in bed.
She didn’t even know the most basic updates about her.
How was she supposed to sleep at night like this?
Arnold gave her an encouraging look. “Alright then, ma’am, go ahead and call.”
Grace nodded and quickly found Lucas‘ number.
But to her dismay, once the call went through, the line indicated that his phone was off.
In an instant, it felt like the sky had fallen.
How could this be happening?
The phone slowly slipped from her hand, and her expression completely changed.
Arnold’s heart dropped. “Ma’am, what’s wrong…”
Grace looked utterly defeated, at a total loss.
“Arnold… Lucas’s phone is off… how could it be turned off now, of all times…”
Even Arnold was stunned hearing that.
Everything that was happening felt far too coincidental, as if it had all been orchestrated.
But the truth was–they didn’t know a thing.
Just thinking about it made Arnold start to feel afraid.
“Then… ma’am, what should we do now…”
His usually steady voice now carried a noticeable tremble.
He was truly at a loss.
Everyone they could possibly reach had already been contacted.
And the first call had been to Tessa–now, she couldn’t be reached either.
Grace couldn’t stay calm anymore.

Chapter 819
She turned around abruptly and walked straight back to her room without a second thought.
Watching her move like that, Arnold was confused.
What was happening?
What was Grace trying to do?
She had just looked utterly defeated–how had she suddenly come back to life like this?
Arnold really didn’t understand.
Still, he followed her without saying a word.
A good housekeeper needed to always stay in tune with the master’s intentions.
Only then could he offer solutions and advice at the right moment
Arnold used to think that no matter what happened, he would always be able to stay composed.
But when he saw Grace start packing her things, he began to panic
His voice rose, “Ma’am, what are you doing?!”
Grage said nothing.
She just kept stuffing daily necessities and clothes into the suitcase
She didn’t speak, but her hands never stopped moving.
Arnold tried to stop her. “Ma’am, in your current condition, you can’t travel that far! Please think carefully!”
