Julian nodded, though there was still a hint of curiosity in his tone. “What’s going on? Why the sudden trip?”
He wasn’t against the idea at all and just wanted to know what prompted it.

As he spoke, his gaze drifted slowly to Lily tied up in the corner.
She was bound tightly, gag stuffed in her mouth, completely silent
After what had happened last time, Julian had taken extra precautions.

She was someone who could actually help his career.

Tessa’s tone brimmed with pride. “That’s why I chose you. You get it right away.”
Julian couldn’t help but feel a little pleased by the praise.
“So, will you go with me or not?”
Tessa pouted slightly, voice turning soft and coaxing.
“Of course I will. How could I say no when my girl asks?”
“I knew you’d be the best,” Tessa said sweetly.
“Don’t worry, I’ll send someone to tail Megan, see where she’s booked her flight.”
Julian gave a serious nod, and with that, they ended the call.
