“I’ll get back to it. We can’t let Miss Aurora’s hard work geto waste.”
Hearing the words “go to waste,” Lucas finally reacted.
“Tunderstand. Go handle things.”
Ian had a point.
There was no use in everyone staying here doing nothing.
“The company’s going to need you,” Lucas said calmly.

It was true–Aurora’s illness couldn’t be made public.

After Ian left, Lucas turned his gaze back to Aurora’s face.

With Aurora lying here, defenseless, he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
He had to stay close.
