After reading the message, Aurora happened to finish the last bite of her toast.
She sighed.
Great–she hadn’t even officially started work, and she was already on the clock.
There was no time to dwell on it.
Seeing she had just an hour left, she quickly put on a light touch of makeup and drove straight to the airport.
While glancing through the file her mother had sent, she muttered, “Leonard Knight… that’s actually a really nice name.”
The man in the photo had short, light blond hair–wild and striking.
His smile radiated warmth, like a spring breeze.
At a glance, he looked like someone easy to get along with–the cheerful, talkative type.
“He doesn’t look that old, but he’s already considered an important client by my mother. Looks really can be deceiving.”
Just from that photo alone, Aurora had formed a pretty good impression of him.
In fact, she was even a little curious to meet him in person.
She arrived at the airport, parked the car, and slipped on her sunglasses before heading inside.
Her gaze scanned through the lenses as she looked around the terminal.
Checking the flight number once more, she kept walking in.
“Excuse me, are you Miss Walton?”
She heard a calm, cool male voice.
When she lifted her head, Leonard’s warm, breezy smile appeared in her field of vision, catching her completely off guard.
She took off her sunglasses and extended a hand toward him. “Yes, I’m Aurora Walton. You must be Mr. Knight?”
Leonard took a good look at her, and a flash of surprise lit up in his eyes.
