Chapter 30
Evangelina’s POV
I look around to see that we are in something similar to the shield that I saw at the Whispering Meadows
pack.
“What do you want?” I grit out as I try to stand, but quickly realize that I am locked down by vines.
“I have already told you what I want. You, my queen. Are you ready to come with me?” He asks and I spit on
his shoes.
“F*ck you.” I say and he chuckles darkly.
“Oh. I intend to. I didn’t get enough the first time.” He says as I am thrown into a short vision of me chained to a bed and screaming at him to stop as he thrusts into me.
Just as quickly as I entered the vision, I was thrust out.
“No. What? No.” I whisper as I try to move, but can’t because of the vines.
“The reason you can’t access those memories is because I had them blocked. I love to watch you break time and time again. You got away from me the last time, but the next time you will never leave me.” He says as he kneels down and lifts my chin higher so that I am looking into his sickening face.
I try to yank my head away, but he holds it still, forcing me to look at him and digging his nails into my skin in the process. He brings his face closer to mine and kisses me, making me want to vomit in his mouth. When he goes to pull away I headbutt him, breaking his nose.
“Who said you broke me, you sick f*ck?” I spit out and his lips turn to a smile while his eyes sparkle.
“Oh you’ll be so much more fun this go around. I can just feel it. Especially now that I know the extent of your gifts. Very impressive indeed.” He says. The vines holding me in place disappear. “Until next time, my love.” He says and disappears before I could attack him.
“EVAN!” I hear and then the sound of footsteps running up to me.
“What the hell just happened?” Dalya asks and I continue staring at the ground.
“Alpha?” I hear one of the girls ask and I snap my head up towards them. I know that I have blood on my face from the man’s nails digging into my skin. He also used vines that had thorns on them so I not only have the slaughtered rogue’s blood all over me, but I have my blood mixed in.
I push all thoughts aside, blocking them out. There is a reason we are here and the sooner we get this over with, the sooner I can start looking into how to remove the block that man has on my memories. I don’t need any more disturbing surprises.
“Yea. I’m good, let’s go. We need to be home before dark.” I say, standing up. They all are looking at me in variations of concern.
“How do you have all the gifts?” Tali asks and I sigh knowing that I just revealed my bigg them, but my stalker as well.

“For some reason I was gifted by the moon goddess.” I say and I see the confusion on their faces.

“She gave me all of the gifts and knowledge to wield it. I am given visions of people to save and what to do f don’t use the gifts because I don’t want people to know. As you both know I have an abnormally large white wolf with a crescent moon on her forehead. That puts a target on me already so I don’t need to make that target any bigger.” I try to explain. There is a lot more to it than that, but I am exhausted and want to get this Now day over with.

“Why though?” Nali asks and I try annoyance. I just want to go home.
“She told me that there will be a war and I will need to train her people in order to get them ready for it. The only way to do so was to give me the knowledge. She gave me the gifts so that during the war we will win. But we only win if I follow the path she has laid for me.” I say and they nod their head in understanding.
“So that.. Man. Is he the reason we will be going to war?” Nali asks.
“Maybe. Maybe not. I am not sure.” I say and I look to see Tall’s eyes are focused, telling me that she is having a vision.
“There will be a war and that man wants the throne to rule over all of the werewolf kind and he wants you to be his queen.” Tali says when she focuses back in.
“What did you see?” I ask her and she shakes her head.
“Nothing in particular, just a vision of wolves and people in collars and him standing over them, while you were chained to his side.” She said.
“A hyro?” I ask and she nods her head.
“What’s a hyro?” Nali asks.
“It is like hieroglyphics that move, telling a small story. It isn’t a particular vision into the future, just gives you a scenario that could happen.” I answer and her mouth makes an O shape in understanding.
“Okay that’s enough questions. We need to get moving. Dayla could you move us 5 miles to the border? I’m saying f*ck it. We aren’t risking running into that sick f*ck again.” I say and she nods her head transporting
us closer.
“Girls, try to mindlink Henry.” I say and they nod their heads. I see their eyes glaze over fully, telling me that they were able to reach him. After about a minute their eyes deglaze and focus back on us.
“He is on his way, said he will meet us and to start walking that way.” Nali says and I nod my head. I hear a shift in their heart beat, telling me that they are nervous. Linc takes Nali’s hand and Marie takes Tali’s, successfully calming them down.
Once we get closer to the border we see a dirty blond wolf break out of the shrubbery before us. It skids to a stop and stares at us, then shifts to his human form. Henry.
“We don’t have much time to catch up before the warriors start coming. I can’t hold off everybody who smells a rogue out here, we need to move into the territory and in a place where everybody can see us. If they see me leading you all there won’t be as much backlash.” He says and we all nod our heads. He quickly shifts back and we follow closely behind him. Let the fun begin.
