Chapter54
Zane’s POV
I am pacing in the conference room, waiting for Killian or Addie to return. Nali ended up getting lost in Addie’s mind and Evan pulled her out, then instructed one of the other witches to get some sort of tea for her
Evan then took Nali’s place and they left a few moments ago.
*Bang* I jump as the door hits the wall. We all turn to see a little dirty blond haired boy running in and looking around the room.
“Leo? What’s wrong buddy?” I ask trying to calm my nerves as I walk over to the frantic boy.
“Wuna. Where’s Wuna?!” He asks, on the verge of tears.
“Luna Ziana went on a trip buddy. She’ll be back soon.” I answer, trying to calm him down so that the now flickering lights stop.
“NO! Mo.. Wuna!” He screams as a light bulb bursts. He starts sobbing as I bend down and try to sooth him. The electricity coating his skin is unpleasant, but I endure it as I hold him to me and begin sending a light. breeze around him.
“It’s okay Leo. She’ll be back soon.” I sooth and after a few moments his sobbing turns to sniffling. I hear footsteps racing down the hallway and see a frantic looking Mikey enter the room, freezing when he spots all of the high ranking wolves here.
“Leo. Buddy I need you to go back with Mikey, while we work on getting Ziana back okay?” I ask and he
shakes his head.
“No I want momma.” I cries and I freeze. I knew he has formed a quick attachment to Ziana, but didn’t realize
how stong that bond was. “Wuna. I.. I. Want Wuna.” He corrects, still sniffling.
“We will get her buddy, but in order to do that, you’re going to have to go and be a good boy for Mikey. No
more running around. Okay?” I ask. He pulls back and his purple eyes study mine, then nods.
“Okay.” He says softly and I smile and ruffle his hair before he leaves, with Mikey who bolts from the room after bowing deeply to Warrick.
I turn and see Warrick smiling sadly at me.
“The boy seems to be very fond of Ziana. She helped a lot of kids at the royal pack, but none of them called her momma.” Warrick says to me and I nod, running a head through my hair and breathing deeply.
“She helps him with control. I knew they formed an attachment, but didn’t realize how strong it was him. It hasn’t been very long.” I sigh, he nods in thought.
“You know sometimes people are sent to each other and form quick bonds. That may be your future grandson Brother.” Nali says, jabbing Warrick in the side. He pales and looks at her.
“I’m too young to have a grandson Nali.” He grumbles and she chuckles.
“Just like mom is too you to be a grandma?” She counters, while he scowls at him. I just go back to pacing since my thoughts and worry are racing again.
Chapter54
After who knows how long, I am mid step when I hear a thud at the front of the room in the circle Killian and Emily left from.
“F*CK!” Killian roars and marches over to the wall, punching it and creating a nice size hole to match the rest around the room. He is breathing heavily and I can tell from our bond that it is taking everything in him to stay in control.
I move toward him and clasp him on the shoulder. He turns to me and hugs me around the waste, placing his head into my chest.
It’s odd. The bond we share. It’s more than a brotherly bond now, but it isn’t s****1. It’s like a platonic connection that is deeper than love. Like we were soulmates as well, but in a different way. Our scents don’t calm each other like Ziana’s would, but it still brings some sort of comfort and stability. While he is calming down, I look at Emily, who is staring wide eyed at us.
“Well?” I ask and she blinks, then shakes her head.
“We found her, but she insisted we leave her. She said that if we took her then they would have moved camp and we need to come back to save everybody, not just her. I’m also not sure if we would have been able to bring her back with us because of the spell.” Emily says and I huff in irritation, but squeeze Killian for
comfort.
“I know it couldn’t have been easy leaving her there, but she is stubborn. If you would have ignored her she wouldn’t have ever forgotten that. We both know our mate, it wouldn’t have been pretty.” I say and he nods, but still stays in my chest breathing heavily.
We stay like that for a while, until she calms a little and I fill him in on what happened with Addie.
“Get everybody to move out as soon as they get back. We are getting her back as soon as we know the
location.” Killian orders and Kai nods, then begins mindlinking out warriors.
“I will get all of our capable transporters here. We can leave as soon as we have the location.” Warrick says and Killian nods. Warrick begins mindlinking and we wait.
By the time Addie, Evan, and their witch return all of our warriors, the royal elite teams, and transporters are
here waiting.
They pop back into the circle looking sweaty and covered in mud. Their breathing is ragged as they look around the room. Warrick rushes to Evan and looks her over as Kai does the same to Addie.
“We found where they are. It took us so long because we were off in the transportation and had to scout
around.” Evan says.
“The transporters and the army are ready.” Warrick confirms..
n fills you “Take me to the transporters. I can take them to the location so we have no issues, while Au. in.” Addie says. Kai nods and blinks them out of the room, presumably to the group of transporters in waiting.
“They are set up in my old pack lands. The veil is almost non–existent, but is still there. It doesn’t work like it used to though. They don’t have the power to put into it. That’s why everything we tried was not working properly. They aren’t exactly on this plane of existence. There are openings, but once we pass through they will know. Most homes are vacant, but there are many that are occupied. I am guessing they have at least 200 people. We shouldn’t go in guns blazing. There are children and families that look to be servants, while others are militia.” Evan explains and my eyes widen as I look at Killian.
Chapter 54
“Not on this plane? Would they have felt when Killian passed through to find Ziana?” I ask and she shou
“That I am not sure. I don’t think they did because we were there longer and there were no alarms. But with as many people as we are taking, they will feel the ripple of us entering. Killian, can you describe what you saw I’ll be able to guide us in the right direction if I know.” She asks.
“There was a dirt tunnel system. Some halls had doors, others had none. The smell was awful, but the tunnel that held Ziana, was a dead end and only had one door that held her cell. There were no bars to it, only a solid door.” He explains and she shakes her head in thought.
“What’s the plan, my love?” Warrick asks, brushing his hand over her cheek lovingly.
“We transport to each of the veil openings and enter. Only attack people who are attacking us and assign three rescue groups. There are two towers you will see in the distance, take all friendlies there to convene. Leave one group there to protect and help them. The rest of us will go through and eliminate everybody else. What Killian described is the underground tunnel that helps prisoners and also was an escape for emergencies. We will have to guard that exit in case anybody runs. Then once we find this Reginald we will
keep and torture him before putting him to death.” She says and we all nod, then leave to find the waiting
militia to inform them of the plan.
We will be there soon my love, just hold on.
Ziana’s POV
The past three days have been absolute hell. Reginald has been the only one in here with me, but that is scary enough. I think I would much rather take being treated as an experimental torture person with people
who are learning than an experiences sick f*ck like Reg–eye–na.
He hasn’t forced himself on me, but only because he refuses to do that with another man’s mating mark on
my skin.
He has tried everything he can to remove my mate’s mark on me, but they won’t leave my body. Not yet at least. It’s like they are reproductive or something. Everytime he tries something the skin grows back to
normal, holding their bites.
That only pi*ses him off more so then he takes it out on me. The jacks off and ensures that I am coated in his crusty old come. Just the thought of it makes me want to barf up the piece of toast I was given this
morning.
Killian left, but I felt better with his mating bond helping some of my injuries. My lung healed and so did my broken arm and toes. Even some of the bleeding stopped.
I am relishing in being able to take a full breath when the door opens. Reginald steps in with a sickening smile, followed by an older man with a handlebar mustache and long white hair.
“Angel. You remember Ned. Don’t you?” He asks and my face pales. Ned was one of the dark helped in performing the ritual experiments on people. Me included.

“Ned here is going to remove your mating marks for me. As much as I enjoy trying to remove them myself, I am getting tired of coming up with different ways to do so. Plus Ned has promised me that your two pathetic mates will feel every inch of pain you’ll be in while removing them.” He says and motions for Ned to approach
me
“Til have you by the end of the night. Angel and I am so excited.” He says as Ned starts to draw the circle

around me. Reginald, leaves and I hear the scraping of something dragging across the door as he reenters with a metal chair and sits down in it facing me.
I eye Ned and Reginald, not sure who to watch as this new development begins. I find out soon enough because as soon as Ned starts chanting some ancient words the pain starfs and I begin to scream Reginald pulls his puny pecker out and begins stroking himself as the fire and darkness fills my veins.
Gods I hope my mates are okay and will be here soon.
