Chapter47
Ziana’s POV
“What the f*ck?” Killian exclaims from over my shoulder. I jump as I realize he read the letter over my shoulder.
“1” I start to explain but his anger overflows the bond. I can barely contain it.
“Is that the f*cker you were talking about?? Who does he think he is? This is unacceptable. You are not HIS. You’re mine!” He yells and begins to tremble with the force of holding his wolf back. I suck in a breath and wrap my arms around him.
“I’m yours, Killian. I’m yours.” I say on repeat until he stops shaking and is holding me back. He pulls away, eying the necklace.
“What is it?” He asks.
“My old collar. He. He used to make me wear it so everybody knew I was taken.” I whisper and he starts shaking again.
“HE WHAT?!“” He screams, fur sprouting, eyes flickering back and forth.
“Kilian. It’s okay. I’m here now. You’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.” I say, knowing that those are the
only words that will help him right now. Me, depending on him, keeps him grounded so his wolf doesn’t go on
a rampage. He drags me to him again, holding me tighter this time, inhaling my scent.
“No harm will come to you, darling. You have my word.” He rasps.
“WE CAUGHT THEM!” Addie yells from the clearing, breaking apart me and Killian.
“Where?” He questions.
“He was in the middle of putting her in a van. One guy died, but we knocked the other out and transported him to the cellar. They took Heidy, we dropped her off at the hospital to make sure she is okay.” Addie explains. Killian looks at me then back to Addie.
“Take her straight to her room and stay there.” He orders then pins me with a stern look.
“We are going to talk after I finish interrogating this sh*tstain.” He says and I nod. He leaves and Addie transports us to my room.
We talk about Reginald and end up switching topics to her ceremony to distract us. We call grandma Iris and she begins to panic about planning it. After speaking with her about it, Addie decided that she would bring grandma Iris here and they would plan it together. Even though Addie said she wasn’t sure if she wanted one, she is bouncing with excitement about it. It’s a nice change of emotion. Leo joined us after a couple of hours and we played with him. Now it is dinner time and we are sitting around in the large dining room. Leo refused to leave, so he is sitting on my lap as we all eat.
“Has he said anything?” I ask Killian and Kai.
“Not one word.” They say and scrunch my nose.
“You must not be questioning him properly then.” I say and they look at me in confusion. I see the moment, they understand what I am saying and Kai looks at Killian, who is shaking his head.

“Her specialty was torture. She even got Information from a man with no tongue one time. Weird, but true She says, earning her a glare. Zeke snorts his drink through his nose and Raegan eyes me warrily. Killiane jaw is clenched and Zane’s jaw is dropped.
“What?” I ask as they all stare at me.
“Fine” Killian grumbles and I smile.
“Cool.” I chirp, taking the last bite from my plate and standing up.
“I need you to go find Marissa or Mikey, Leo. Okay?” I ask and he nods then runs out of the room
Addie stands, ignoring her plate, still filled with food.
“Oh I love watching her do this. So much fun.” She says with a dark look in her eyes. The rest of the group
eyes her and me warily.
We are led to the cellar and when I walk in the man tied to the chair smiles at me. His brown eyes are
sparkling with amusement. To their credit the dude is a bloody mess, but there are barely any missing teeth or broken fingers. It looks like they just punched him. Now where is the fun in that?
The guard unlocks the cell doors and I walk in, grabbing a knife from my boot.
“So. I was told you didn’t want to talk.” I say, circling the man. He doesn’t reek of fear like I’m used to, and it
urks me.
“Those two idiots couldn’t get me to talk, what makes you think you can?” He asks and I chuckle darkly, then stab him in his shoulder, popping his socket out of place, while cutting the ligaments, and sending electricity
down the blade into the wound. His screams are music to my ears.
“Because they aren’t trained like me.” I say, lowly and I feel the fear now, as I pull on my darkness and he sees it. I watch in joy as a wet spot soaks his pants and the smell of pi*s permeates the air. I laugh maniacally.
“Pathetic.” I say as I stab behind his kneecap and do the same thing I did to his shoulder joint. I hear his screams and the sound of retching being me in the hall.
“Oookay. Okay AH!!!!” The man screams.
“I was sent to take the girl and leave the message.” He pants.
“Who?” I ask and he shakes his head. “I’m only going to tell you this once. I do not repeat myself unless you are harmed in some way.” I tell him as he shakes his head. I tisk then cut off his finger. More screaming.
“I. I don’t know his name. He. He tells me to call h. Him. R.” He sobs.
“Where can we find him?” I ask and the man chokes.
“I d. Don’t know.” He sobs again. I move to cut his other finger off and he screams.
“I swear. I don’t know! He said to drop the girl off at the ab. Abandoned factory in Lavaling. It’s 80 miles east of here.” He rushed and I nodded, then cut his finger anyway.
“Just a reminder of what will happen if you lie. I’ll be back to question you later. Sweet dreams.” I smile sweetly. The guard opens the door for me and I move past everybody, noting that Kai is the one who got sick, Once we reach outside Killian instructs Kai to get the elite team and go to the warehouse. He leaves, but not before Addje tells me she wished I would have popped the man’s ankle instead of the knee, making him vomit

again. She laughs, while comforting him, and they leave to transport the team.
Killian, Zane and I make our way to his office and once the door closes they turn to me. This is feeling awfully
familiar.
“Explain.” Killian orders, while Zane eyes study me. His pale face is gaining some color now. I sigh and sit
down.
“You don’t need to know.” I say and then something smashes against the wall.
“BULLSH*T Ziana! You’re our mate. We need to know what is going on.” Killian rages and I sigh, rubbing my head as the use of my magic today has caused a migraine.
“FINE!” I yell and point to the chair. “Sit down, shut up, don’t lose it, and listen.” I order and they do. I lean forward, rubbing my temples.
“I was with Franklin for 14 years. He promised me to Reginald. Franklin sacrificed my wolf to give me dark magic. When I use too much of the magic, I throw up black sludge, and my eyes and nose bleed black. If I push for too much at once, it takes over and I go on a killing spree. Reginald and Franklin trained it that way. They did this by having our torture sessions, that’s mostly what the scars on my body are from. Reginald is after me because he thinks that I am his property. They trained me to be their perfect weapon of death, destruction, information gatherer, and torturer. Did I miss anything?” I ask, exasperated by this day. They are quiet as I sit there.
“No, you didn’t miss anything.” Zane says, finally.
“Good. I would like to go and get cleaned, then maybe have a decent sleep. Hopefully.” I say, getting up and
leaving.
