Chapter 46
Ziana’s POV
I wake up to the feel of fingers trailing my arms and side. I open my eyes to see that I am laying on Zane, while Killian is holding me from behind. We’re all still naked and I smile against Zane’s chest as the feeling of rightness and completion enters me.
“Good afternoon sleepy head.” Zane says, smiling, then kissing my forehead. Killian climbs out of bed and holds out a hand to me. I scowl at it and he laughs.
“Would you like to join me for a shower?” He asks and I note the stickiness between my thighs.
I grumble about wanting to sleep longer as I take his hand and he leads me to his shower. We take turns
bathing each other. By the time we step out I notice Zane’s hair is wet and he is dressed.
“Took you two long enough.” He complains as he grabs me and holds me against him. My face reddens as I remember I am naked. He hums into my neck, causing a shiver to cross through my body. Killian steps up behind me and strokes my shoulders, planting a kiss on my neck as he pulls away and traces my back
tattoo. I freeze.
“What happened?” He chokes out. I pull out of Zane’s embrace, he hands me some clothes. I pull the pants and his T–shirt on, ignoring the questioning eyes in the room.
“Ziana.” Killian presses. I turn to face him.
“What?” I snap and he sighs. I look at Zane, but he doesn’t meet my eye.
“Look, you already know what happened. I was raised by that sick f*ck Franklin for 14 years.” I grit. Balling my
fists. They know enough to put it together. I even told them about Reginald. Why do they need more?
“I told Marissa and Mikey we could plan their mating ceremony today. I probably already missed it, but I need
to go and see what they need.” I say, ignoring Killian’s protests and walk out the door.
With my good mood now ruined, I find Marissa and Addie at the dress shop in town.
“Oh! Luna. You made it!” Marissa cheers and I smile, some of my joy returned.
“Sorry I’m late. Have you found your dress yet?” I ask her and she shakes her head.
“No. We just got here. We went to the craft store and garden center before coming here. Mikey left to find his
outfit. Well, a white button down and new jeans.” She answers, then chuckles. Addie shakes her head behind
Marissa and I snort.
“OH! We also figured it out! My sister is going to be my bridesmaid and you will be Mikey’s groomsman. I
hope you don’t mind.” She says and laugh.
“No. I don’t mind at all. Does that mean I have to plan a party for him though, because I don’t think I can do that on such short notice.” I say and she laughs.
“Mikey would be mortified if you planned a party. He isn’t one for anything like that, never has been.” She
says.
“Good.” I answer.
The rest of the time blurs by as we try different things on. Marissa doesn’t question me when I veto any without a back to it. Eventually, she pulls out some dress pants that fit almost like yoga pants and a floral purple top. And even though It’s floral, and there are light colors, the fit of it is great, hugging me all around. and with a matching mesh pattern for the sleeves.
Marissa chooses a beautiful flowy, white sundress with a corset style that looks great on her.
We leave and make our way to the packhouse, while Marissa splits off to go visit her sister. As soon as she is out of sight, Addie grabs my arm and transports us to my room.
“What the hell?” I ask and she eyes me skeptically.
“1.” She holds up a finger. “What happened to lead up to that trigger? And 2.” She holds up another finger. You slept with them. Didn’t you?” She asks and I open and close my mouth.
“1.” I hold up my own finger, mocking her. “I just started spiraling with thoughts when telling them about Reg–eye–na. And 2, none of your business.” I say, glaring at her. She nods, then squeals, wrapping her arms around me, picking me up and twirling me. She sets me down, laughing at my horrified facial expression.
“Oh stop. So tell me. How was it? 2 at once is a big deal. It’s good isn’t it? It HAS to be.” She says, then fake faints on my couch. I roll my eyes at her dramatics, but then nod. Chewing on my lip.
“It was better than anything I have ever imagined. After I marked Zane I blacked out on my third org*sm it was so good.” I say. Her eyes bug out as she catches onto the part I was trying to distract her from.
“Um. Excuse me. Hold on. Did you just say mark? As in canine
I nod.

canine teeth?” She asks and
“Well yeah, how else would I mark him? With fairy teeth?” I ask and she glares at me.
“Don’t you dare be a smart a*s right now. How is that possible? You don’t have a wolf.” She states, then eyes
me suspiciously.
“I don’t. Not yet. But I asked mom about it and she said that I would. In time. She saw it.” I confirm and another round of squeals and “OMG“s start. She goes to pick me up again, but I zap her, causing her to scowl
at me.
“Well excuse me for being happy for my best friend.” She huffs and rubs her arms.
“I barely zapped you.” I argue and she scoffs.
A knock sounds at the door, before bursting open. Kai rushing in with a panicked look.
“What’s going on?” I ask on alert. He runs to Addie and holds her to him.
“Another female was taken. Beach blonde walking in town, I thought it was you. You weren’t answering your mind link.” He huffs to Addie and look at her.
“Take us there.” I demand and he grabs my forearm, while still holding onto Addie and we transport to the center of town. Somebody should have noticed, it’s always busy here.
I reach for the black void in the pit of my stomach to pull on my magic, when I realize it’s small. So small, I can barely reach it, but I do. When I open my eyes, people around us gasp. I know my eyes are like a damn christmas tree, but don’t care. I look around and see the shadows of the past. There is a woman being moved out at gunpoint, but you can’t see the gun unless you pay attention. Following them I keep in mind my actual curroundings so I don’t run into anybody or anything. I follow them past the river and through the trees,

opening up to another clearing. The one I was with Killian in fast night for Mikey’s shift. I try to follow they go, but before I can, my magic explodes and I fall to the ground vomiting black sludge.
“What the hell?” Kai asks as I wave him in the direction to go.
“They.. Went.. That… Way.” I point in the direction I last saw them walking and he nods, but stays still,
“GO!” I yell as black starts bleeding through my eyes. Damn it.
Him and Addie grab our hybrids and transport out of my view.
“Hey. Hey. It’s okay.” I hear from behind me and a hand rubs down my back soothingly. I smell the pine clove scent and know it’s Killian.
When I open my eyes, I can feel that they are back to normal. I stand up and turn around, wiping the black streaks from my cheeks. I can tell it doesn’t help when he eyes me with concern.
“Side effects of the dark magic. Don’t worry. I’m good.” I explain, shrugging my shoulders. My reassurance does nothing to ease his worry, but he doesn’t comment, only brings me to his chest to hold me.
I sigh and close my eyes, enjoying his scent, but when I open my eyes something catches in the light.
I pull away and squint to try to figure out what I saw, but only catch a slight sparkle. I begin to make my way over to it, but Killlian stops me.
“What are you doing?” He asks and I shake my head pointing in the direction of whatever is in the forest. We make our way over to the area and as I get closer dread pools in my stomach. Hanging on the branch is a necklace with a blood dipped rose and black Lily lying beneath it and a letter. I reach for them, but Killian stops me.
“Don’t touch it. What if it’s drugged or chipped?” He asks and I shake my head.
“It’s not.” I choke out and grab the letter, opening it.
I saw you last night with HIM. An angel in the clearing with trash. It should be me. It will be me. My sweet angel will come home soon and we will be together again.
The things that I will do to you will make me a devil and this devil WILL have his Angel.
