Chapter11
Ziana’s POV
After I pushed my chair in Alpha Killian stands as well. Anybody could tell that he is angry as he looks at me.
“Ziana, Alpha Killian, we would like to meet with you two in my office, please follow us.” I turn my gaze to my mother who has a pointed look. Telling me it’s non negotiable. Warrick has the same look. Both of their expressions are hard and I glance at Addie in confusion. She shrugs her shoulders. Looking back at Alpha Killian, he hasn’t moved. Hasn’t even twitched or my guess, blinked. I crinkle my nose in discomfort, then sigh, looking at Alpha Sebastian.
“Sorry, Alpha Sebastian. Maybe we can go for a walk some other time.” I say and he nods, saying he understands, then I move towards the door. As we make our way to my mother’s office, I walk slowly, trying to put some distance between us all. I have a bad feeling about this.
“Oh look girls it’s princess wh*re.” I hear just as I lift my leg to take the second stair up to the office. I look to my left to see Carissa with three girls. All of which tried their best to make my life hell.
“You’re just upset because I wouldn’t touch you with a ten foot pole, Clitorissa. But mmm. Haven I remember
our time together, you kept begging and begging for more. Goddess you’re pathetic.” I retorted. Carissa turns
red and faces Haven, smacking her.
“I can’t believe you. You b*tch!” Carissa screams and attacks Haven, pulling her hair and beginning to wrestle
around.
I turn back towards the staircase with a smirk, but it falls when I see mother, Warrick and Alpha Killian at the
top of the stairs. Mother seems slightly angry, but also worried. Warrick is worried, but also amused. Now, Alpha Killian, he is just pi*sed. What is wrong with him?
“Ziana, let’s go.” Mom says and I nod, and make my way up the stairs.
I follow them into mom’s office. Warrick and mom lean against her desk, Alpha Killian stands in front of them
with his arms at his sides. His fists are balled and he looks ready to kill. My heart rate spikes as I begin to
think of why I am here and what is going on. He must know. He has to know.
“Why.. Why am I here?” I rasp out and mom smiles at me.
“Well Ziana, Alpha Killian has come to us and.. Well he told us that you are his mate.” She says, bringing hand up to scratch the back of her neck, awkwardly. My heart drops. I can feel the blood rushing from my
face.
“No.” I whisper, staring into her eyes. She doesn’t say anything, so I look at Warrick. His face is solemn and I
can tell this is not a joke.
“No. NO! That’s not possible. He is lying.” I say as I begin to freak out. This can’t be happening. Alpha Killian growls and I feel a wave of his anger smack against me.
“I wouldn’t lie about such a thing, mate.” He growls, staring at me intensely. I avoid his eyes and turn back to face my parents. My breathing begins to shallow and black spots begin to dot my vision.
I feel hands on my shoulders shaking me, but I don’t register anything.
“Ziana. honey. Baby come back to me.” I hear and my eyes begin to focus. My mother’s concerned gray eyes
stare intently into mine.
“Mom. It’s not possible.” I rasp and her eyes sadden.
“It is. Your father and I spoke about it. After speaking with Alpha Killian, he described the matebond and your scent. How when he first walked in he went straight to you. Ziana, do you feel anything different towards him?” She asks and I think about it. I mean he is like the hottest person I have ever met, and he is the first person to give me butterflies since my first kiss. I also remember the feel of electricity that zinged through my body when we collided after the conference.
I see the happiness sparkle in my mothers eyes as she sees the dawning in mine. I look at Alpha Killian. He is watching me and waiting patiently. He is a lot calmer now, but he won’t be for long. Out of ALL people I can’t be HIS mate. Not after what I have done to everybody and especially not what I have done to him. He smiles at me and the butterflies return. No, I can’t. I take a deep breath as I know what I have to do next.
Princess Ziana Montre Augustus rej..” I begin. His eyes widen as the word spills out of my mouth and I see the hurt in his eyes. Before I could finish the rejection mother interrupted me, smacking her hand against my mouth.
“Don’t you dare finish that.” She says deathly calm in my ear.
“Please don’t.” Alpha Killian begs and I see the heartbreak written over his face.
“Please wait outside Alpha Killian.” Warrick requests and the big bad Alpha Killian walks out of the room like a kicked puppy. Once the door shuts mother removes her hand from my mouth.
“What the hell was that?!” Mother yells.
“Pretty sure you know what it was, mother.” I say and she scoffs at my response.
Ziana, you KNOW how much I cherish the mate bond. Please give him a chance. He is your soulmate.” She says as I shake my head.
“No mom. I’m not supposed to have a mate. I can’t have a mate, not with what I have done. ESPECIALLY not him. I can’t.” I say, trying to make her see the serjousness of this situation. Her eyes water as she cups my face in her hands.
“Oh my sweet girl. You think that you don’t deserve a mate, but that is far from the truth. Your mate can help
you with this. You are such a good kid and I am so proud of you.” She says and I shake my head.
No, she is wrong. I don’t deserve a mate. Alpha Killian can’t want me. Once he finds out what I have done, he
will want to kill me, not mate me.
“Mom.” I choke, but stop when Warrick comes up to her side, putting a hand on my shoulder.
“Ziana. My beautiful daughter. You deserve happiness. You deserve to be loved. You deserve to have a
matebond. Just give it three months and.. If after, you don’t want the matebond then we won’t be mad if you
reject him. BUT you have to give it an actual chance.” He says. I feel tears trickle down my face. I hug him and
enjoy the bear hug he gives me.
“I love you.” I say to him and he squeezes me harder.
“I love you more, kiddo.” He says, letting me go and making room for mom to hug me.
“You will be leaving in the morning, pack your bags. We will send whatever can’t fit in the vehicle, once you get there.” She says and my heart jumps. Morning? That will give me enough time.

I nod and make my way to the door.
“And Ziana.” My mother stops me. I turn to look back at her, to see a serene smile on her face. “He seems like a very good man, despite his nickname and reputation.” She says and I smile slightly, then turn to leave. I avoid eye contact with Alpha Killian and all but run to my room.
I need to pack. Ineed to get out of here as soon as possible. I can’t do this.
