Did I hear that right? They want the Imperius Ink? 

A hint of a smirk appeared at the corner of Alice’s mouth. 

Damon laughed. “Yeah, that ink was my mentor’s favorite. Too bad it’s been lost over time. 

Linda looked a little embarrassed. 

“Damon, that Twelve Muses piece is valuable too. We need to give your mentor a proper thank–you gift.” 

Damon’s grin grew wider. “Linda, you really get it.” 

Charlie sneered coldly. “At least Linda knows how to behave–unlike certain people. I hear they sent all the gifts back just because the elder’s gift didn’t suit their taste. Made the elder lose face completely.” 

Linda sounded shocked. 

“No way! That’s so rude. The elder must’ve been crushed–how awful.” 

Charlie sighed softly. “Linda, you’re always so kind. I can’t imagine you ever getting married.” Linda looked down. “Charlie, I don’t want to marry. I just want to stay with you guys forever.” Damon waved his hand. “That’s not gonna work. When your parents come back from overseas and find out you don’t want to marry, they’ll probably kill all five of us.” 

Linda’s checks turned even redder. “You guys are always teasing me.” 

The six of them laughed, but it sounded a bit sharp. 

Alice rubbed her ears, her eyes cold and piercing, like they might freeze over. 

Eric wore a devil mask. His tall figure looked thinner than usual after being sick for so long. 

From a distance, he looked like a vampire. 

His voice was altered on purpose, sounding just like a vampire movie dub. 

“You really care about those five people?”

Alice slowly turned her head to look at him. 

She wore a fox mask. 

Her long hair moved like silk, flowing smooth and graceful. 

She looked like a fox spirit stepping out of some faraway mountain. 

A smile played again on her lips. 

For a moment, it was enchanting. 

Eric’s heart shook hard again. 

“They’re just some strangers.” 

Alice’s voice was icy cold. 

Daniel standing next to her was stunned. 

So Mrs. Nolan doesn’t actually care about those useless Spencers. 

That’s a relief. 

He glanced at the six figures ahead. 

They would definitely regret this. 

Outside the castle, lots of people gathered. 

Everyone used voice changers and wore masks so no one could tell who was who. 

Even with identities hidden, they still talked about finance and business. 

Some were there not just for the auction but to network and make powerful connections. 

Linda’s group stood out too much. The way they talked quickly gave av who they were, even though no one said it openly. 

But showing yourself before the auction was dumb. 

If anyone knew who you were, they’d know if you outbid others or bought expensive items

The Spencers were weaker than ever and couldn’t afford to offend anyone. 

So others avoided them, stepping aside whenever they came near. 

Though confused by the weird vibe, the six Spencers didn’t think much of it. 

It was their first auction, after all, and they knew the rules were complicated–this was just one of those strange things.. 

Alice watched them with cold eyes, waiting for the right moment to enter with Eric. 

Thanks to Eric’s money and VIP pass, they got a private room. 

The Spencers, looking pale and weak, only got seats in the main hall. 

Even so, they seemed okay with it. 

By chance, Alice stood by the private room door, looking down at the Spencers below. 

Suddenly, she eyed Eric suspiciously.

a red dress was pouring tea for Eric. 

Eric held the cup, but he looked like he didn’t care much for the tea. 

Alice smiled softly. “Looks like this was your doing, Mr. Eric. You really know how to surprise people.” 

Eric didn’t deny it. 

“It’s just a seat. As long as you have one, no one cares where.” 

In truth, nobody in the main hall had enough money, 

When facing absolute power, no one dared to argue. 

They were scared of being blacklisted after leaving. 

So swapping seats to please the elite upstairs was a blessing. 

Alice called the server over. 

The server hurried up.

Alice hadn’t expected this kind of treatment and smiled quietly. “Okay, I want to auction some inks.” 

The server immediately went off to find the person in charge.
