Chapter 190 Her Road Was Never Hers
Even on camera, they still had to act like good brothers and besties.
Levi and Boston didn’t care about the occasion at all.
Their fans all knew these two didn’t get along.
They were always tearing each other apart online.
And now, somehow, they were laughing and chatting.
It was bizarre,
Of course, it was only bizarre because of Levi.
Boston was acting just like he always did, but Levi was talking to him like they were old friends, bringing up all sorts of topics.
Boston was about ready to lose it, but since there were cameras around, he couldn’t blow up.
“Mr. Boston,” a gentle voice called out, and Boston finally found an excuse.
“I’ll go take a look,” he said, turning and walking off without giving Levi any face at all.
Levi didn’t get angry in the slightest. He even kept a friendly smile. “Alright.”
Kaleb, standing nearby, wasn’t too happy. “You’re being way too nice to him.”
Levi’s smile didn’t falter.
It was as if he had been born that easygoing, without a temper.
Kaleb was very pleased with his performance.
“Mr. Warren was right. Acting skills need to be practiced all the time.
Levi’s expression barely changed.
“Yeah. Being able to stay calm in front of someone I absolutely hate … that’s something I couldn’t do before.”
Kaleb laughed out loud.
Then, quickly switched the subject/
“Look, Boston’s over there with that rising starlet, Darlene.”
Darlene was complicated.
Some said she was some big shot’s daughter, which was why her career had gone so smoothly.
Others claimed she was just a nobody who had slept her way up, but honestly, there weren’t many real

secrets in this industry.
If Darlene really had a sugar daddy backing her, there was no way they wouldn’t know.
That was exactly why she felt so strange to them.
On top of that, she was generous. She never hid the fact that she liked Boston.
In terms of status in the industry, Boston wasn’t even as big a name as she was.
But because Darlene was willing to share her resources, she had collaborated with Boston several times- she had even been willing to play supporting roles for his sake.
Now, their fans were calling them the golden couple.
“Not bad,” Levi said, completely without jealousy.
Seeing how calm he was, Kaleb felt even more relieved.
All that crash training really hadn’t been for nothing.
Ryan truly lived up to his title as a devil mentor, and now, Kaleb had nothing but respect for Alice–total admiration.
“Look, someone else just arrived.”
When Levi saw who it was, a shadow crossed his face.
It was an emotion he couldn’t suppress, because Alice absolutely hated these people.
“Sandy, Yvette, Kayla, and Linda.”
Kaleb gritted the names out, his back teeth almost cracking from the pressure.
“That Nolan girl … she’s honestly the dumbest rich kid I’ve ever met.”
She had more advantages than anyone.
If she had just acted cute and gotten along with Alice, she could’ve had it easy.
But instead, she insisted on taking the hard road–the winding, uphill, nearly impossible road.
Levi took a deep breath, forcing his expression back to normal.
“Let’s go meet Risa first.”
“Alright.”
Sandy and Yvette were basically at the top of the women’s circle.
So the moment they arrived, a crowd of small–time starlets immediately surrounded them.

Eliza walked over and stood next to Kayla, her tone a little sycophantic.
“Kayla, don’t worry. That country girl is going to completely embarrass herself later?
Today’s audition wasn’t live, but everything was being recorded.
+5 Free Coins
Some of those recordings would eventually make it online–and if someone’s reputation got ruined. well… what did that have to do with them?
Kayla’s lips curved into a faint smile. “Good job.”
Eliza quickly asked, “Kayla, about that period drama you said you were investing in …”
“I already told you that you’ll be playing a lady–in–waiting. Lots of scenes, and later you even get promoted. It’s a likable role,” Kayla cut her off, sounding impatient.
Seeing how annoyed she looked, Eliza didn’t dare push further.
It had been this way for years.
The family business had always been Kayla’s.
Whatever Kayla said went.
Eliza was supposed to be the treasured little princess, spoiled and protected, but because of one word from Kayla, she had been forced out to fend for herself.
She had no choice but to take on odd jobs. Later, she was even tricked and nearly trafficked to some remote mountains.
If it hadn’t been for someone rescuing her, she would never have made it to the entertainment industry, never stood where she was now.
But after all that, Kayla had only said coldly, “Everyone has to go through hardships. Taking the rough road now is so you can walk an easier one later.”
And their parents actually agreed with her.,
That was why now, even for the tiniest scraps of resources, Eliza still had to look to Kayla for approval.
In this industry, most people only flattered the powerful and trampled the weak.
Plenty of investors and directors saw Kayla barely lifting a finger for her, so of course, they didn’t treat Eliza any better.
Which meant now, pleasing Kayla was the only option she had left.
Kayla didn’t respond. She just glanced at Sandy and made a sma
