I Am Lama Fernandez!
Chapter Eight
“Please, call me Zaire.
Zeine placed his right hand in the small of Lana’s back she tried to lead her away to his car, and away from the rain.
The car was sitting in the rain, a gleaming Bentley, and the driver stood outside, taking shade under a black umbrella while waiting for them to approach, so he can open the door for them.
Lana stopped and stared into Zaire’s eyes. His green eyes held a light that bespoke Indness, and there was a gentleness behind his touch.
the had told her to call him, “Zaire” thereby putting them on a first name basis. Lana stared at him, unsure if she wanted to venture into this new path
Suddenly, something occurred to her, and she looked closely at him, her eyes narrowed with curiosity,
“What are you doing here?” she asked, indicating the huge gates behind her which signified the Romero’s Reign Estates. “Did you come to call on the family?”
Zare smiled, showing perfect white teeth,
“That would be unheard of he answered, a lazy smile on his face The Romeros and I are not really on talking terms.
“Oh really?” Lana asked, curiosity etched on every corner of her face “And why is that?”
“Are we going to keep–standing in the rain while discussing this?” He smiled again, and to Lana it seemed like he smile a lot
It accentuated his perfect features and made him look more dashing than ever. Lana was sure
sure he was a ladies man, always making girls swoon with his Lazy smile,
and heated states.
Damien had not been like that. Lana wondered if she would still have fallen for Damien if he was all smiles like Zaire.
Damien exuded coldness and power. He never seemed to smile yet that had been one of the things that drew her to him. She wanted to make him smile, to bring about warmth in his life.
But she was sure he gave all his smiles to Rina, and only cast her dark looks filled with coldness, yet she had still loved him.
Her mouth tumed bitter at the thought, and Lana shook her head slightly to remove the intruding thoughts,
She would not think about Damien, or anyone from that family.
It was time to put them behind her.
She held her head high, and gave Zaire a charming look.
“You’re right” she started towards his car and Zaire quickly followed her it’s already getting cold.”
As the driver held the door open for her and are held the umbrella high above her head, Lana suddenly became aware of someone calling out to her from behind
“Ma’am!, Ma’am wait up!”
Lana tumed swiftly, recognizing the voice, and as she gazed at the huge gates of the Reign Estates, the doors suddenly swung open, and Diego ran towards them, dorched, and splashing around the small paddles which had already formed on the ground due to the sudden rain
Diegu ran towards them, and Zaire stated at hin

He looked at
at both of them, his face red from the running, and from the cold rain.
“Let me come with you!” Dingo said, in between pants as he started shivering from the cold
Lana stared at film for a long time, then turned to Zaire who had been looking at the newcomer with hostility.

my driver, and a friend as well”
Zaire looked at Diego with a condescending gaze as he parted there, then his expression softened as he tumed to Lana, and nodded.
They all went and the car, Zaire and Lana taking the backseat while Diego slipped into the front seat with the dgiver.
The driver started the car, and as they drove away from the gates, Lana could not resist glancing at the huge gates, as she rolled away from the place she had lived for the past there years.
She shivered suddenly, not with cold but with a deientation to forget everything and, everyone she had l
e had known for the past three years.
biego, on his part, sat shivering in the front of the car even though the heater was on. He looked back at the gates of the Reign Estates and smirked.
He was not going to miss it. He had grown to love the calm and dignified Lana, who had endured all those suffering for three years.
Whenever he thought back on how she had suffered those times, his heart clenched inside him. She had endured taunts from her mother in law Vera, and the boss had abandoned her.
Even still, she had treated the staff with respect and kindness, and with a dignity that bespoke her status.
She had not been haughty or proud, even though she was the wife of one of the top Billionaires in the city, and she always made sure the affairs of the house were well run, and their salaries were paid on time.
The staff all loved her and had been saddened at the recent events at the house, but Diego had been engaged and he decided he was going to follow the young wherever she goes
Even if she had nothing to her name, he’d make sure he stays with her and protects her from the evil Romeros, if their paths ever crossed again.
The car rolled to a stop in front of a seven–star hotel, and Diego stared in awe at the magnificent building in front of him.
Ti was the Oriental Hotel, one of the top hotels in the city, and the most expensive
Were they going to stay in the hotel?
Diego Booked at Lana doubtfully because the hotel looked very expensive, and although he did not want to burden her, spending a night there would probably take
However, he took a deep breath and made up his mind that he was going to pay for her too. The Madam was used to a rich life all these years.
Of course, it was only normal that she should stay in such a hotel for the night.

Tomorrow morning, he’d start looking for another job, and look for ways to take care of the madam so she ca
The rain had stopped falling by now, and they y all came out of the vehicle.
Zaire wanted to lead her in but Lana stopped him.
“I’ll have to take my leave here.” She told him calmly, bowing slightly at him “Thank you so much. For everything”
Her eyes spoke volumes, and Zaire nodded as he stared into them.
“Will you be staying here?” zaire asked, indicating the hotel, as his gaze was fixed on the delicate woman in front of him.
He had not thought to ask about why him something was amiss.
he was outside the gates of her husband’s mansion, because he wanted her to reveal it herself, but his common sense told
However, Laru gave him a way uile, and made another bow.
“Diego, let’s go!” she turned on her heel, and disappeared behind the huge revolving doors of the Oriental hotel, and Diego followed her after swiftly bowing at

Zaire was left standing flat–footed at the entrance of the hotel. He smirked, and watched Lana take an elevator with her driver. Their eyes met an gaze, cold and indifferent, as the doors slid close before them.
“Should I make enquiries? His driver’s calm voice said behind him, but Zaire shook his head slowly.
“No. Not tonight” he said, his voice holding a note of amusement “Let her settle down first.”
He turned and slid into his car, and the drive did the same, and the car rude silently into the night. Meanwhile, in the elevator, Diego realised they did not book any rooms. He felt that was strange, and wondered if she had only gone into the elevator to avoid Zaise, or if she actually did not want to stay there.
“Ma’am, do not worry. Let us go down and book the rooms. I’ll make payment he thumped his chest as he said these words “Do not worry,

As she said those words, the elevatord

There was an helipad there and a helicopter was sitting on it. Standing outside the helicopter were six bodyguards, and at the sight of Lana who was walking towards them briskly, they bowed and chorus in uncon

Diego stood rooted to the ground as a bespectacled man, loolding dignified in a sharp suit, walked towards Lama, and bowed deeply.
“Welcome, Young Lady Lana. The chairman awaits you
Lana smiled as she looked round at them, her red hair flying about her face, dar to the wind on the cool.
She led slightly at Paul, it’s nice to see you too, Paul.”
Tuming back to look at Diego who was still staring open–mouthed at them in shock and confusion, she called out to him.
“See, I told you I’m not penniless” Her laughter was strong and determined “I am Lana Fernandez!”
