Chapter91
“What’s going on, why couldn’t I reach you when I called?”
It was Finley’s voice, cold and with a questioning tone.
“Did Dad need me for something?” Adelaide didn’t explain, she
went straight to the point..
“After throwing a tantrum for so long outside, it’s finally settled.
It’s time to go home, right?”
People who don’t know what’s going on would probably think
her daughter ran away from home, and then the father called
to scold her and tell her to come back home.
Adelaide discovered that the Pierce family had a very
consistent trait.
Thick–skinned.
After all that happened, Finley still had the nerve to act like nothing happened and call her home as if he were her father. He even had the audacity to twist the truth and blame her for
overreacting emotionally.
She calmly put on her shoes, “Now my mom and Amanda are the last people who want to see me. If I go back home, I guess

everyone will be unhappy, so I’m not going back. Since you’re
calling me now, I’ll tell you, I’m not going back for the New
Year.”
The final words angered Finley.
“This is your home, if you don’t come home to ring in the New
Year, where else can you go! Your mom was just angry for a
moment, you are the one she raised with her own hands, how
could she not like you?”
“I know you were jealous of Amanda, and you never think
about the fact that you’re not even blood–related. But haven’t
we treated you like family all these years? Do you want me to
personally have someone bring you back?”
Adelaide just wanted to describe him in four words, shameless
and thick–skinned.
“Tonight, come back to me. If you don’t, I’ll immediately take
back Morgan Estates,” Finley issued a final ultimatum.
Adelaide didn’t say anything, but when I mentioned Morgan
Estates, it sure got her attention.
Soon after, she texted Teresa, “Tess, didn’t you say someone was
interested in Morgan Estates? Ask him if he’s willing to pay in
full and sign today.”
Chapter91
Near noon, Spencer finally returned to the Pierce’s place.
As soon as she walked in, Jeanette looked around and didn’t see
Adelaide anywhere. She frowned and asked, “Why didn’t you
bring that little rascal back?”
Spencer looked gloomy and said, “Mom, why do you have to be
so harsh? Doesn’t Adele have a name?”
Seeing him speak up for the little hoof, Jeanette was not happy.
“And Adele, Adele, she called, she bullied your own sister into
what she is now. Amanda is your real sister!”
Amanda was holding her mother’s arm, and she was being quite
obedient now. “Mom, don’t call him like that, he’s really angry.””
Jeanette was still angry and wouldn’t give up: “I know you
watched her grow up as a little sister. But after so many years,
you should change this habit. Amanda is your real sister, not
her! Now Amanda is being bullied by her, as her real brother,
shouldn’t you stand up for your real sister?”
“Mom, stop it, I’m fine,” Amanda couldn’t hide her pride in her
eyes, and she sounded very reasonable.
Spencer just stared at her coldly, “Yesterday, why is Adele fine
but Kirby Restaurant decided to permanently blacklist you.
Amanda, did you tell the truth about everything or did you.
intentionally hide something?”

Faced with her brother’s questioning, Amanda’s heart trembled.
She didn’t dare to look up and stubbornly said, “Bro, I came back
like that yesterday. Could I still be making it up and deliberately
slandering her?”
