Chapter89
When Spencer told her he wanted to kill Garrett with red eyes, she was so scared, thinking he would definitely go crazy and kill Reginald too.
Back at the apartment, she was lying limp on the sofa, staring
blankly at the ceiling.
What should I do?
What if she waited until she got married to Garrett and then
ran away from Evercrest?
Once this idea popped into her head, it suddenly took root in her
heart.
It seems like this is the only way for now,
But she had to get through these ten days first.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
She thought it was Reginald who came back, after all, only he
and Nathan knew she lived here. The only one who could come
here is probably Reginald.
When she opened the door and saw Teresa standing outside,

she was stunned.
“Tess, how did you come?!”
At the moment, Teresa was still wearing pajamas, wrapped in a
long coat, and even wearing cotton slippers on her feet.
To be honest, she was still standing here and hadn’t come to her
senses yet.
She was still confused, “Half an hour ago I received an anonymous call, the person introduced himself as Reginald. Then he said you were in a bad mood, and had sent someone to
pick me up, hoping I could come over to accompany you
tonight.”
Adelaide was stunned again.
Teresa stared and exclaimed, “You know, I was really shocked
when I got his call back then.”
Well, she was also shocked after hearing that.
“Oh, by the way, Reginald said he called me on his personal
phone, so it’s easier to reach him directly in case of emergencies,” Teresa said, grabbing her arms suddenly.
Almost immediately, she glanced into the room and said, “Adele, are you sure this isn’t specially prepared by Reginald for you?”
Chapter 9
Adelaide almost didn’t follow her jumping thoughts, “….the Sterling Estates is all his.” she said, closing the door.
“But isn’t this the style you like?” Teresa squinted, with a
meaningful look.
Adelaide briefly escaped, “I’ll go get you some water“”
Teresa saw through it and didn’t spill the beans: “How about we
have a barbecue?”
Adelaide nodded, holding a bottle of mineral water,
Sure.
So the two of them sat on the sofa, swiping through the app.
Until the takeout arrived, they sat cross–legged on the carpet,
eating and watching the old movies they had just picked out.
Halfway through the movie, Teresa just started talking randomly, like “So, what are you going to do about Spencer?”
On the way there, Teresa already found out what happened to Adelaide at night. The reason she didn’t open the door and just hugged her for comfort is because she knows Adelaide.
The situation was emotional enough, but Adelaide wouldn’t speak up, she would even try to brush it off saying it’s okay and there’s a way to solve it, and then you couldn’t get anything out
of her no matter what.
Only when Adelaide was completely calm and relaxed, she

would tell her the truth when asked.
Adelaide was calmly eating skewers and said, “He bought a villa
with Finley on his back, saying it was written in my name.”
Teresa was cursing Spencer in her heart, saying, “How can a villa be as convenient as a big flat? There’s a security guard
outside, and you need a key card to enter the apartment building. It’s safe. The air is fresh and comfortable in the high-
rise.”
Adelaide couldn’t help but laugh: “Yeah, who cares about
mansions anyway.”
Reginald just barged in with people back then.
