Adelaide cleared her throat, “No, I think coffee would be more
suitable because I’m a bit tired and need coffee to wake up. If possible, I think a drink of liquor would be fine too, it can warm me up. Oh, or maybe I should go downstairs and run five

Nathan’s eyes lit up as he eagerly picked up the lemonade,
“Since Ms. Pierce wants coffee, I’ll go get a cup.”
“Never mind….” she just said it casually earlier.
“No worries, I was planning to have a drink too.” Nathan just left like that.
There was a brief silence in the study.
After a while, Reginald looked at Adelaide, who was translating
with a frown, and asked, “So why did you suddenly feel
nauseous?”
Adelaide casually replied, “Ate too much.”
“You only took five bites of that pasta.”

quick glance, just to see what she was up to with her food.

Seeing his inquisitive look, Adelaide felt like a weight had been
lifted off her shoulders, “I just suddenly remembered that not
long ago I stepped on a pile of dog poop from a stray dog!”
The air suddenly fell silent for a few seconds.
Reginald looked at her with a “are you kidding me?” expression,
“You really think so.”
She shrugged, “The brain is out of control.” Then she asked, “Mr.
Thorton, can I continue translating now?”
Reginald knew she was lying, but didn’t want to keep asking.

At night, in the hotel.
Spencer arrived.
“Where’s Adele?” he saw Lucas and asked eagerly.
Lucas was also helpless, “I saw her at the elevator on the 13th
floor, I went to the front desk and they said there was no such
