“Ah!” She was startled by this sudden surprise and exclaimed,
“Reginald, I’m driving, do you want us to have an accident
here?”
“Are you satisfied with just fifty million?” Reginald asked
unhappily.
“No.”
“Think about the value of your identity as Alicia,” Reginald
reminded.
“I remembered.” Adelaide replied honestly.
Reginald got annoyed again, turned his face away, and stopped
talking.
Adelaide was driving, looking ahead, feeling warm and fuzzy
inside.

After the cooling–off period began, Adelaide prayed every day
that nothing would happen.
