She ordered another iced coffee; sat on a chair in the indoor
lounge area, and got a little lost in her thoughts.
“Adelaide.”
A familiar voice interrupted her thoughts.
She let go of the straw she was biting and looked straight ahead,
it was Lucas.
Seeing him, Adelaide wasn’t feeling very happy. But thinking
about how Lucas used to be nice to her, she still smiled and said,
“Lucas, what a coincidence. Are you here to play basketball
too?”
Lucas was sitting with his legs crossed, leaning back on the
chair, holding his phone, and took a picture of Adelaide. “Yeah,

Lucas saw the situation and immediately caught up.
“Okay, okay, okay, I was wrong, I won’t help you beg. So, let me
tell you something you might be interested in.”
Adelaide didn’t stop walking.
Lucas casually matched her pace and said, “That enemy, the one
who switched you and Amanda on purpose back then,
interested?”
As soon as she heard that, she stopped in her tracks.
Lucas had a smile on his face, a look of I knew you’d be
interested.

“Was this your idea, or did Spencer tell you to tell me?”
Lucas sighed to himself that Adelaide was really cautious, “I
mean.”
Adelaide was even more confused, “This is the Pierce family’s business, why are you investigating?”
Lucas shrugged, “It’s not that I wanted to investigate, it’s just that this melon hit me on the head by itself. Don’t you believe me?” He looked hurt, “Just because I get along well with Spence, you think I’m on Spence’s side, huh? Adelaide, you’re a bit heartless, you know. I even confessed to you Before.”

- me. If you agree, I’ll take you to see him right now!”
It was just a birthday gift, Adelaide didn’t hesitate and said,
“Sure.”
“Let’s go, I’ll take you there now.”
