Chapter 8
Mason took Nova on the Ferris wheel.
When the Ferris wheel started and Mason and Nova’s cabin reached the highest point-
‘Bang!” Brilliant fireworks bloomed in the sky.
ust then, I received a video message.
‘Mason loves Nova forever-”
When Mason and Nova came down from the Ferris wheel, they saw me from afar.
Mason instinctively let go of Nova’s hand and walked toward me, ready to explain.
Nova stepped forward first, speaking somewhat embarrassedly: “I told him we shouldn’t meet today, but he insisted in finding me.”
But being with someone you like really makes you happy.”
he asked: “Elodie, do you have someone you like?”
glanced at Mason and answered:
No.”
Mason was stunned.
ooking somewhat nervous, he said to Nova: “The wedding is tomorrow. With only a few hours left, we really can’t ee each other anymore.”
Let me take you back.”
Okay.”
fter taking Nova back to the hotel, Mason and I rode back together.
answered calmly: “Just saying it casually. It’s not important.”
Not important…“
Mason thought I was sulking and said in a low voice for the first time:
You’ve been wronged during this time. You’re my girlfriend, and I’ve been making you compromise.”

“After Nova’s situation is over, I’ll love you wholeheartedly.”
I lowered my eyes: “Let’s talk about it later.”
Back at the hotel, Mason wanted to come into my room with me.
I stopped him: “I’m tired today. Let’s rest. You still have to be a groom tomorrow.”
And I would be a bride tomorrow.
Seeing that I still cared about him, Mason felt somewhat relieved.
“Okay. If you don’t want to go tomorrow, just rest well. I’ll come find you as soon as it’s over.”
“Mm.”
After saying that, I closed the door.
I packed up everything I’d bought in Spain.
Then I sat at the desk and wrote in Spanish:
“Mason, I now understand that sincerity doesn’t necessarily bring sincerity in return.”
“Rather than holding a nearly broken umbrella, it’s better to get rained on.”
“Three years of time–consider it my gift to you.”
“I don’t want you anymore.”
I put down the pen and printed out all the romantic photos Nova had sent, chat screenshots, and that four–year–old
love letter.
I placed this thick stack of papers on the desk.
Then I threw Mason’s only gift to me into the trash, picked up my luggage, and left the Continental Hotel without
hesitation.
I took a car to my sister’s Eden Villa in Barcelona.
The next day, 7 AM.
The makeup team arrived on time to apply exquisite bridal makeup.
The maid helped me change into a Valentino haute couture wedding dress,
At nine o’clock, the butler said:

“Miss Elodie, your car has arrived.”
Meanwhile, at the Continental Hotel.
At 8:30, Mason finished putting on his suit and kept calling me.
I didn’t answer.
His best man advised: “Mason, it’s almost nine o’clock. If you can’t get through, just let it go.”
“No woman could be gracious enough to watch her boyfriend marry someone else. Let’s go pick up Nova first.”
A strange feeling crossed Mason’s heart.
“Okay, let’s get Nova first.”
He went downstairs, got in the car, and the wedding convoy set off to pick up Nova.
The wedding cars drove along Barcelona’s Passeig de Gràcia, with stunning medieval architecture on both sides.
But Mason remained distracted.
He kept checking his phone–I hadn’t replied.
He opened our chat and started typing.
“Elodie, I promise that after the wedding, regardless of whether Nova has recovered her memory, I’ll explain the truth to her and be with you properly.”
He sent message after message, but got no response.
Just then, the car suddenly slowed down, and the driver said:
“Mr. Mason, there’s sudden traffic control ahead… I don’t know what’s happening. Oh, it looks like there’s another wedding convoy?”
Hearing this, Mason rolled down the window and looked outside.
As the two cars passed each other, he clearly saw that the bride in the wedding car across from them, wearing a pure white wedding dress, was–me!
