Taking the shares and never meeting again?
Mason suddenly remembered that on the first day in Spain, he and his friends had gotten drunk celebrating.
I had asked him to sign a document.
Could that have been a share transfer document?
At this moment, the scene he’d witnessed in the wedding car flashed through his mind again.
That bride with exquisite makeup.
His head buzzed.
But he immediately dismissed this thought. He believed that even if I had discovered the truth, misunderstood him, and broken up with him, I would never marry someone else so quickly.
My social circle was simple–I couldn’t possibly suddenly marry some top–tier wealthy person..
Besides, I was still at the hotel last night. There simply wasn’t time.
As for the shares, he thought I was just speaking out of momentary anger.
Thinking this way, Mason convinced himself.
He took out his phone–I still hadn’t replied to his messages.
‘Mason, she took your shares in the Tilden family?” Roman asked.
Mason nodded: “It doesn’t matter. She doesn’t understand anything about these shares anyway. The most important thing now is to find her.”
‘She must be very heartbroken right now.”
Mason searched the entire hotel and checked surveillance footage, learning that I had left around eleven o’clock last night.
He used his family connections to check my flight records.
The result showed I hadn’t left the country–I was still in Spain.
There was no news the next day either.
So Mason reported it to the police.

After completing the statement, he also arranged for private investigators to inquire about my whereabouts.
He and Roman drove around Spain searching for me.
Three days later, Mason returned to the hotel exhausted when his phone suddenly rang.
“Elodie…”
After connecting, it was the police apologizing: “Mr. Mason, sorry, we haven’t found any leads about Miss Elodie’s
whereabouts.”
“Please continue the investigation.”
Mason hung up.
Two more days passed. Mason had searched everywhere he could think of, but still found nothing.
Having no other options, he called my company without much hope.
The other end said: “She resigned yesterday. The IP shows she returned to the country.”
Mason was stunned.
He had people monitoring the flight system daily but received no alerts.
But knowing I was safe, he finally felt relieved.
It seemed the woman in the wedding dress he’d seen in the car wasn’t me after all.
However, this was the first time in three years I had gotten so angry with him.
He knew how much I loved him, and he knew how much of a bastard he’d been.
He wanted to return home to find me and make it up to me.
To restore things to how they were before, and marry me.
When Mason decided to go back, Nova and the others also returned together.
As soon as he got off the plane, Nova grabbed him.
Mason, I’ve thought a lot these past few days.”
If I had known you loved Elodie this much, I wouldn’t have agreed to let you help with my treatment.”
But now we’ve already held a wedding ceremony. Please don’t abandon me, okay?”
she cried as she spoke, and Mason’s heart began to soften.

Nova was innocent after all.
Just as he was about to speak, Nova suddenly fainted.
“Nova!” Mason caught her, and airport staff immediately helped rush her to the hospital.

Mason had completed Nova’s admission procedures and was about to enter the room.
But he heard Nova’s voice from inside:
“Hazel, now Mason really wants to leave me and go find that bitch.”

Hazel sighed: “I don’t know either.”
