Dylan looked at her, his eyes deep and his voice as cold as frost. “What have you sacrificed for me? Your acting skills?”
Chloe’s face was full of astonishment, her eyes wide with panic as she asked in a trembling voice, “Darling, what do you mean? What acting? I don’t understand what you’re saying.”
She was terrified inside, unsure why Dylan had suddenly said such a thing.
She thought to herself, ‘Has he discovered something? No. He couldn’t have. There’s no evidence from back then.
‘If he had found out, he would have done so long ago. It couldn’t be about the kidnapping either. Those two kidnappers are dead!’
When Chloe had gone to find them, she had used makeup and a disguise, and the phone number she used to contact them was bought specifically for that purpose. She had also used a voice changer during the calls and paid in cash.
‘I didn’t leave any evidence. Dylan couldn’t have discovered that I was involved in the kidnapping. If he had, I would have been arrested by the police already,‘ Chloe thought.
After quickly going through everything in her mind and finding no loopholes, she felt less nervous and continued to look at him with feigned grievance. “Darling, that’s so hurtful.
“What have I done wrong? Tell me, and I’ll change. Please don’t be so cold to me. It hurts so much.”
Dylan said coldly, “What Olivia said about you in the past was indeed right. If you applied the acting skills from your life to your career, you’d have won Best Actress ages ago.”
Chloe’s face turned bright red as if she had been humiliated. “Why are you using what Olivia said to humiliate me? Darling, what’s wrong with you?
“Because Olivia is pregnant with your children, have you fallen in love with her and want to abandon me?”
As she spoke, Chloe shed large tears. “I haven’t even asked you for an explanation. Why did you break your promise, sleep with Olivia behind my back,
and get her pregnant?
“How can you turn around and blame me? You promised to remain faithful to me and not sleep with Olivia. But now you’ve gotten her pregnant.
“You’ve broken our vow. You’re untrustworthy and deceitful, and yet you’re trying to frame me. You’re heartless.”
Chloe cried her heart out, but Dylan just coldly watched her.
He neither comforted nor questioned her, just quietly observed her performance. He wanted to see how long she could keep this up.
After a few minutes of crying, Chloe couldn’t continue. Crying was exhausting, and with no one paying attention to her, her solo wailing felt very
awkward.
Chloe bit her lip, tears in her eyes, and walked up to Dylan. “Darling, did Olivia say something to you?
“Did she use the babies to threaten you not to be with me? How could you listen to her? It’s just a child. I can have one for you, too.”
As she spoke, she tried to hug Dylan, but before she could touch him, he kicked her mercilessly with his uninjured foot.
“Ah.” Chloe fell to the ground unprepared, looking at Dylan in disbelief, her whole body trembling. “You actually kicked me?
“How could you change so completely? What about our vows? If I had known this would happen, I wouldn’t have risked my life to save you back then.
“And three days ago, I shouldn’t have saved you either. I risked my life to save you twice, but I didn’t expect you to be such an ungrateful, heartless person. It’s too hilarious.”

Chapter 71
Dylan’s malevolent gaze pierced Chloe like a knife. “Of course, I remember the vows I made, but are you sure those vows were made to you??
Cold sweat trickled down Chloe’s back, and a deep–seated fear enveloped her, making her tremble even more violently. “O–Of course it was me. Why are you saying such things?”
Dylan let out a cold laugh. “You’ve stolen for so long that you really think it’s yours
now?”
Chloe clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging into her palms, forcing herself to stay calm. “What do you mean by stealing? I was the one who saved
you.
“The bodyguards who went to find you back then can testify. It was I who handed you over to them. You remember the dress I was wearing when I saved you. These are all confirmed facts. Why are you doubting me now?
“Just because Olivia is pregnant, do you believe her lies?”
Dylan said, “I don’t need Olivia to say anything. I can see for myself and judge whether you had the ability to save me.
“You couldn’t even carry me on flat ground. Do you really think you had the strength to pull me out of that pit? Do you know how difficult it was to climb out of that pit back then?”
Chloe, her eyes red, said, “I–I used to be very strong. Ever since I saved you eight years ago, I was exhausted and injured, and my strength diminished.”
Chloe thought to herself, ‘Dylan is just making judgments on his own. He doesn’t have any evidence. As long as I deny it to the end, I will still be the one who saved him.‘
She continued, “Darling, these are all just your guesses. They can’t be considered evidence. You’re doubting me based on these baseless guesses, and I’m really hurt.
“People change. It’s been eight years now. You can’t expect me to be the same as I was back then.”
Dylan looked at her coldly. After a while, Dylan closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and forcefully suppressed the anger inside him. “You should leave first. I need to clear my mind.”
Chloe had no choice but to leave his room with a heart full of resentment and anxiety.
The next day, Carol noticed that Olivia hadn’t prepared anything for the babies or for herself as a pregnant woman and suggested taking her out to buy the necessary items.
“You’re already over four months pregnant, and twins are likely to be born early. There’s not much time left. We need to hurry up and get everything ready.
“Since I’m here and I have experience, I’ll take you out to buy everything you need during this time.”
Olivia thought it made sense and accepted her suggestion.
Dylan originally wanted to go with them, but seeing Olivia’s aversive expression, he had to give up. He gave Olivia a card and told her to use it freely, which Olivia accepted without hesitation.
Debbie saw that Dylan stayed at home and made an excuse that she didn’t sleep well at night, so she didn’t go out with them.
Olivia and Carol went out together, with Evelyn arranging for a driver, bodyguards, and a family doctor to follow them to prevent any accidents.
Carol couldn’t help but feel envious of the arrangements.
Before the Kaur family went bankrupt, Carol had never even enjoyed such luxuries.
When she was pregnant, she only had one maid to take care of her. She went out with family members, without bodyguards of doctors

Carol hoped her daughter would work hard and eventually live the pampered life of a wealthy wife, surrounded by attention and care.
Carol felt a twinge of guilt toward Olivia, but the thought quickly passed.

‘It’s Olivia’s fault for not capturing Dylan’s heart. If she had the ability to make Dylan fall in love with her, no one could take her place. The fact that it can be taken away proves it’s not truly hers. It’s not the fault of others.
‘It’s better to let Debs have the opportunity than to let it go to someone else,‘ she thought.
