Chapter 25
When Olivia and Julian came down the mountain the next day, Olivia’s legs were so weak that she could barely stand. Julian ended up carrying her all the way down on his back.
Once they got into the car, he cradled her in his arms the entire ride. She didn’t even have a chance to buckle her seatbelt.
Fortunately, nothing happened on the way. Otherwise, they’d be the perfect cautionary tale for “how not to ride in a car“,
When Olivia returned to the hotel, she ran into Dylan and Chloe, who were just about to go out.
Dylan’s expression was thunderous, his gaze colder than ever when it landed on Olivia.
Chloe instinctively tightened her grip on Dylan’s arm the moment she saw Olivia, her eyes filled with guarded unease.
Olivia took the initiative to greet them. “Hey, are you guys heading out? Do you need me to go with you today?”
Even though she just unexpectedly made a fortune, she still wanted to earn the money Dylan promised. After all, no one would say no to more money.
Dylan replied in a cold tone, “Starting today, you don’t need to follow us anymore. Pack up and get yourself another hotel. Chloe doesn’t want to see you. The only thing you do is upset her.”
Olivia asked, “Am I still getting paid?”
Dylan sneered, “Is money the only thing in your mind? Every other word out of your mouth is about money! Chloe.”

Olivia shrugged. “Yeah, I know. Chloe is pure and noble. She is totally immune to the lure of wealth. I’m not trying to compete with her. Just answer the question–are you still paying me or not?
“If not, get out of my sight. If you are, I’m still at your service.”
She thought, ‘If I’m not paid, I won’t even give a damn to them.‘
Dylan’s face turned an ugly shade of grey. He took a deep breath, took out his phone, and transferred 2 million dollars to Olivia on the spot.
He snapped, “Here’s 2 million. Now, get lost. Don’t show your face again until I call you back.”
Chloe’s mind screamed painfully when she saw the transaction notification. ‘That should’ve been my money, and he just transferred it to Olivia so easily. Olivia’s so lucky. She doesn’t even need to do anything, and she gets a huge pay.
‘Meanwhile, I stay by Dylan’s side, acting and pleasing him every day, and I haven’t seen a single cent in cash. Does Dylan love me or her?‘
Olivia glanced at the text notification from the bank and confirmed the money had arrived. Her face lit up with a radiant smile as she picked up her suitcase and skipped away.
She said, “Thanks, you’re so generous. Wishing you a lovely trip. If you need anything else, feel free to reach out, but that will be a whole new rate.”
Dylan glared after her, his eyes dark with fury. His fists clenched tightly as a storm of thoughts churned in his mind. ‘She just walked away like that
without a hint of hesitation or a look back?
‘And she actually wished me and Chloe a lovely trip? She changed really fast. Just a few days ago, she claimed to love me, and now she’s already moved
- on.
‘She must’ve been faking it the whole time. What a cold, calculating woman. Thank goodness I never fell for her.‘
As Olivia pulled her suitcase out of the hotel gate, a nearby agent who had been quietly following her sent an update to Julian.

Chapter 25
Upon receiving the message, Julian immediately had his driver turn the car around and head back to the hotel entrance.
Olivia was waiting by the roadside for a ride when a familiar car slowly pulled up in front of her.
As the window rolled down, Julian looked at the suitcase beside her. He teased, “Your husband kicked you out, huh?”
Olivia nodded. “You can say that. He wants some alone time with his sweetheart and told me to get lost.”
Julian smirked. “You’re really that sweet? He told you to leave, and you just left?”
Olivia replied, “He’s paying me 100 thousand dollars a day. Listening to his arrangements doesn’t seem so bad. Of course, it’s not about the money, I’m just incredibly considerate.”
Julian let out a low chuckle, got out of the car, and placed her suitcase in the trunk. Then, he gently nudged Olivia into the car. “Come on, I’ll give you a ride.”
Olivia looked at him, puzzled. “Why did you come back?”
Julian replied casually, “Took a wrong turn just now. The driver made a U–turn, and I saw you standing here. I came to ask what’s going on.”
She didn’t doubt him but said, “Can you help me find a hotel a little farther from here?”
Julian nodded. “Sure. Just lean on me and take a nap. You barely closed your eyes last night.”
Olivia’s cheeks flushed. She instinctively pinched him, grumbling in her head, ‘Whose fault do you think that is?‘
But after the pinch, she leaned against him. She was really exhausted from the night before. Her whole body still felt weak, and her head was cloudy from sleep deprivation.
Olivia didn’t expect to fall into such a deep sleep. When she finally woke up, she found herself lying in a minimalist yet cozy room. It didn’t feel like a hotel. Though the decor was simple, there were subtle signs that someone lived there.
Olivia glanced at her phone and suddenly bolted upright in shock, thinking, ‘I slept for twelve hours? Seems that guy indeed exhausted me last night.
As she got out of bed, she noticed her clothes had been changed. She was now wearing a white nightdress with lace trimming on the sleeves and hem- something that looked like it came out of a little girl’s fantasy wardrobe.
She went to the bathroom, freshened up, and stepped out into the hallway. She was on the second floor of a modern, minimalist villa.
From the far end of the corridor to her left, she could vaguely hear voices–one of them a low, lazy male voice. It was Julian’s.
Curious, Olivia walked toward the sound. The door was slightly ajar. She paused outside, waiting for a while. After a moment, the voices stopped, and she assumed Julian finished his call. She pushed the door open and stepped in.
Julian sat at a desk, unmoving, his eyes fixed on a spot ahead of him, like he was deep in thought. She assumed he was zoning out.
Without a second thought, she padded over and draped herself over his back, wrapping her arms around him and resting her body against him in a lazy sprawl.
Her voice, still soft and husky, brushed against his ear as her lips playfully grazed his earlobe. “Didn’t I tell you to take me to a hotel? Why did you bring me here instead? Where even is this?”
Julian’s whole body stiffened, and his ears visibly turned red.
“What’s got you so lost in thought?” she murmured. “I’m literally all over you, and you’re still spacing out?”
Her hands started to wander across his chest. “Come on. Pay attention.”

Julian finally moved. He reached back and caught her hand firmly, his voice low but faced with restraint. “Be good, baby I’m in a meeting Litt this later, alright?”
Olivia instantly froze. She lifted her head to look and saw a laptop on the desk, the screen still on, showing several shocked foreign faces staring backa,

Pure mortification swept over her, and her face turned bright red. “Y–You are in a meeting? Why didn’t I hear anything?”
Julian calmly removed a single Bluetooth earbud from his other ear.
“You were only wearing one?” Olivia hissed.
She complained to herself, ‘If he’d been wearing both, I’d have seen it when I leaned in to bite his ear. I wouldn’t have made such a damn foof of myse
Julian shrugged and replied, “I heard something outside, so I took one earbud out to listen. I didn’t expect you to be so into me. You completely fost control the moment you saw me.”
Olivia immediately let go of him, covered her face in embarrassment, and bolted out of the room,
Behind her, Julian’s deep, amused laughter echoed down the hall.
