Chapter 17
Olivia wandered the streets for over an hour, picking up a few local trinkets to bring home as gifts. It was already dinnertima, and she was about to find place to eat when a tall figure suddenly appeared in front of her
That person came out of nowhere, and before she could react, she bumped right into him. Her lindy stumbled tuck uncontrollably as she was about to fall, an arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her forward. She fell into a broad, solid chest.
Heat radiated through the thin fabric, and the faint scent of fresh grass lingered at the tip of her nose. Olivia’s heart skipped a beat.
She quickly came to her senses and tried to pull away, but the man’s aim felt like steel, locking her soft body tip
tightly against his Erm chest.
Olivia pressed both hands against his chest and gave a push, but it didn’t budge him. Frustrated, she looked up. The moment she saw that familiar, handsome face, the anger that had just flared up vanished instantly,
No matter how many times she saw Julian, Olivia still couldn’t help but he stunned by his looks,
Today, Julian looked even hotter than before. His hair was brushed back neatly and cleanly. His eyebrows seemed to have been groomed, giving him a sharper, more commanding look.
Everything about him was the same as before, yet more refined in every way. He wore a white shirt, the kind made of thin, soft fabric. Even through the shirt, Olivia could clearly feel the contours of the muscles beneath her palms
“Feels good?” Julian’s amused voice came from above her head.
Olivia nodded. “Not bad.”
She thought, ‘Well, since he already caught me ogling him, might as well cop a feel while I’m at it. I mean, I’m the one sponsoring him.
“Sure, I haven’t actually paid him yet, but that’s beside the point. What matters is, I’m gonna get labeled a thirsty cougar, I might as well act like one
Olivia’s hands lingered briefly on Julian’s chest before slowly sliding up to cup his cheeks. “Since we’re abroad now, we should follow local customs.”
Julian looked puzzled. “What customs?”
“The kind where people k
kiss for no reason,” Olivia said.
She stood on tiptoe, hooked her arms around his neck, pulled him down slightly, and gave him a quick peck on the lips.
As they parted, Olivia’s lips brushed up to his left ear and she whispered, “You look so fine today. Stay with me tonight.”
Her warm breath graced his ear, and Julian’s heartbeat spiraled out of control.
Olivia quickly stepped out of his arms with a soft laugh. “I’m starving. Let’s eat first. She then turned and started walking ahead.
Julian caught up within seconds, grabbed her hand, and slowly pried her fingers open one by one, Lacing their fingers tightly together.
Olivia turned to glance at their clasped hands, then looked up at him.
Julian said with a straight face, “It’s crowded out here. We should hold hands so you don’t get lost.”
Olivia didn’t say anything. She figured they’d already crossed more intimate lines than this. Holding hands was nothing at this point.
She chose a fondue restaurant. Julian didn’t seem all that hungry. He kept filling her plate but barely touched his own.
Eating alone felt awkward, so Olivia started feeding him between bites of her own.
Julian’s eyes twinkled with amusement. He looked like he was in a really good mood.

Toward the end of their meal, Dylan and Chloe walked past the restaurant hand in hand.
Dylan’s gaze swept casually across the restaurant, and his eyes suddenly caught on a familiar figure. He looked close–it was Devia
She had changed her outfit and done her makeup. She looked like she’d stepped straight out of a dream, For a moment, Dylan was completely diced
The next second, he saw Olivia pick up a piece of meat and offer it to Julian who sat across from her. Julian took the bite straight from her fork like it was the most naturally thing in the world.
Olivia gave him a smile, then pulled out a napkin and wiped his mouth for him.
Dylan stared at the scene, dumbfounded, rage bubbling up inside him. He thought, Olivia really went and got herself a lover? How dare she!
“Babe, why’d you stop?” Chloe tugged hard on his arm,
She called out a few times, but Dylan didn’t seem to hear a word. It was like he’d gone deal. Desperate to get his attention, she shook his arm with more force.
Dylan finally came back to his senses and yanked his hand away roughly, striding toward the restaurant entrance
By the time he made it inside, Olivia and Julian had already paid the bill and left through the other door
Dylan rushed back out to the street, but the crowd outside was thick. All he could see was a sea of heads–no sign of Olivia arrywhere.
Frustrated, he clenched his fist and slammed it hard against the nearby glass door.
“Babe. Ow!” Chloe cried out. She had just caught up to him, but before she could get close, Dylan suddenly punched the door
The impact was so strong, the glass shattered on the spot. As shards came crashing down, one of them flew out and sliced Chloe’s arm.
Clutching her bleeding wound, Chloe trembled from the pain.
Dylan wanted to rush into the crowd to look for Olivia, but Chloe grabbed his arm first, crying as she asked, “Babe, who are you even looking for? My arm’s hurt. Don’t you care about me at all?”
get hurt? Can you just call a cab and go to the
Dylan turned around and finally noticed Chloe’s injury. His brows furrowed in frustration. “How did you get hu hospital yourself?
“Help me handle this mess with the glass door first, and I’ll pay you back later when I get back.”
As he spoke, he tried to brush her off, his head filled with nothing but the urge to catch Olivia in the act
Chloe stared at him in disbelief. “What did you just say? I’m bleeding, and you’re telling me to go to the hospital alone and deal with compensation by
myself?
“Who did you even see? is it really that important to chase them down right this second? Is finding that person more important than taking me to the hospital?”
Dylan’s eyes kept scanning the crowd, and without thinking, he said, “I saw Olivia. I need to talk to her.”
He hadn’t even seen Jullian’s face just now, Julian had his back to him the whole time.
Ever since Dylan first made a false police report and had the cops raid Olivia’s hotel room and arrest her, every attempt he made after that to get the police to help him find her was turned down
The police even warned Dylan not to file any more bogus reports. So if he wanted to find Olivia now, he’d have to do it himself.
Chloe was shaking with anger. “So what, Olivia matters more to you than i do? Fine. Go find her then. Forget about my injury. Let me bleed. I’m not even in pain because my heart hurts more.”

She yanked her hand out of his and burst into louder sola.
Dylan suddenly snapped back to his senses.
Не
turned and saw Chloe’s teal streaked face. Guilt surged through him. “I’m sorry. Let’s go. I’ll take you to the hospital right now,” he said.
Chloe kept her eyes lowered, saying nothing, just silently sobbing the whole time.
now. Of course you’re the most important person to ma.
Dylan paid for the broken glass, then flagged down a cab and took Chlon to the hospital.
On the way, he kept calling Olivia, over and over again, but she never picked up.
Chloe turned her head slightly and saw Dylan dialing Olivia’s number again and again, Her jaw clenched in fury.
She thought, ‘It’s Olivia again. What the hell did she do to him? What kind of spell did she put on Dylan to make him suddenly care about her this much?
