Chapter 20
Julian had a nickname: the Smiling Tiger.
His face always wore a warm smile, but beneath it lay a calculating mind. He could destroy lives
while making pleasant conversation, or smile while pushing someone toward hell.
His words were always half–truth and half–lie, so convincing that even Ash couldn’t tell when he was
lying and when he was telling the truth.
Perhaps because he was so skilled at lying, when Sophia took Julian’s hand with an innocent face
and said, “Being abandoned doesn’t matter, I’ll love you forever–just the two of us together can stand against the whole world,” Julian immediately saw through her.
She didn’t love him. She only wanted to use him.
He would never be her only one. Never.
All of Sophia’s lies fell flat with Julian, transparent and weak, seen through at a glance.
So he despised Sophia from the bottom of his heart.
But the Smiling Tiger earned his name because even when he loathed someone, he still smiled.
He never revealed this disgust, instead using Sophia to bind Ash tightly.
Sibling love? Don’t be naive, Sophia. You and Ash have no blood relation. A sibling bond without
lood ties is too fragile–Ash will abandon you someday.”
Rianne is so beautiful, so exceptional. She’ll win Ash over eventually, and then you’ll be all alone.”
If I were you, I’d make the first move. Ash is such a traditional guy–once you sleep with him, he’ll lefinitely take responsibility…”
Oh, I’m just thinking out loud. Sophia, don’t take it seriously. These are dirty tricks–don’t follow my
ad example.”
Jnder the guise of brotherly advice, Julian secretly encouraged Sophia to drug Ash, and everything ell into place–Sophia became Ash’s lover.

Chapter 20
Ash was indeed traditional. In his mind, once intimacy occurred, he had to take responsibility. Especially when that person was the sister who had been through everything with him.
Initially, Ash truly saw Sophia only as a sister.
But after that accidental night together, their relationship changed.
Ash remained conflicted and tormented. On one hand, he genuinely viewed Sophia as his
sister–both emotionally and rationally, he couldn’t accept being with her.
But on the other hand, they had been intimate, and Sophia was the most important person in his life.
He couldn’t abandon her.
He remained trapped in this contradiction, suffering with twisted, confused feelings toward Sophia.
Yet Rianne was different. Her feelings for Ash had always been passionate and bright, like the summer sun that could melt all frost when it appeared.
How Ash wanted to love Rianne! Who wouldn’t yearn for such bright, passionate love?
But how could he love her? He already had Sophia. He couldn’t betray Sophia… He could disappoint everyone in the world, except Sophia. She had once been his entire world.
But now, Sophia had betrayed him. His entire world had betrayed him!
‘Rie…” Ash approached Rianne, looking lost. With reddened eyes, he managed a broken smile. “Have I lost all chance to win you back?”
If I kneel and apologize now, would you forgive me?
f I gave you my life, could you love me again?
Please, Rie, don’t be so cruel. Give me one more chance…
But before these pleas could leave his mouth, Rianne had already coldly given Ash his answer: “Yes,
you’ve lost your chance.”
She smiled, taking Drake’s arm: “Because I’ve chosen Drake Quinn.”
‘I’m going to marry him and be his bride!”
