Aria immediately caught that word, her heart skipping a beat. She suddenly lunged for the steering wheel.

Julian startled, pinning her down with one hand.
Aria spotted the sapphire bracelet peeking out from under his suit sleeve and suddenly understood why such an inexpensive bracelet was mixed among those valuable jewels.
The Reid heir must know about Julian’s feelings for her! He was testing her choice!
Keeping a lovesick puppy around wasn’t the worst idea, but now…

Julian stared at her intently. “Look,carefully! This place… you really don’t recognize it?
“You once said that ten years ago, you saved someone who was severely injured, with a T–shaped cut on his head…”
He brushed aside his bangs to show her a scar so faint it was barely visible.
But Aria wanted nothing to do with him.
As the convoy caught up, she jumped out of the car and ran toward them.
“Grab him! He’s trying to assault me!”
The Reid family bodyguards all got out of their cars and when they saw who Aria was accusing, they all frozen.
Julian slowly pushed open his door, get out, and watched as Aria continued shouting for them to tear him to pieces. His expression darkened further.
The assistant finally arrived and helpfully pointed out:
“He IS the Reid heir, Miss Shred. Whose eyes are you planning to gouge out? Whose bones are you threatening to pick?”
‘W–what?”
Aria shuddered violently.
