Chapter 4
After arriving at the mall, I went straight to a luxury store and saw a new bag. When I was about to pick it up, a pair of hands snatched it away first. I looked up and saw it was Ryan and Isabelle
Ryan handed the bag to Isabelle.
“Isabelle, this is a new Hermès bag. There is only one of this kind. It suits your temperament best.”
Isabelle gave me a challenging look.
“I see Sister Sophia also wants this bag, so why not give it to her?”
Ryan looked at me and sneered:
“Hey, why is our Manager here? Didn’t you say you couldn’t come? How about this, as long as you kneel down in front of Isabelle and apologize to her, I’ll let you join us shopping.”
I rolled my eyes at him, not wanting to bother with him anymore, and prepared to go somewhere else.
But Ryan grabbed me and threw me to the ground.
“Sophia, why are you pretending? If it weren’t for Isabelle, I’m afraid any one of these bags would cost you three months‘ salary. I’m willing to give you a chance, so don’t be so shameless.”
I touched my body which was hurt from being hit and slapped Ryan in the face.
Ryan’s eyes widened instantly.
“Sophia, how dare you hit me.”
Isabelle suddenly started crying
“Sophia sister, I know I was wrong. I will never invite everyone out to play again.”
At this time, other colleagues were also attracted and surrounded me.
“Sophia, did you do this on purpose?”
“Sophia, why are you haunting me and having such evil thoughts?”
“Isabelle was willing to invite us out to play, but you kept trying to ruin it. You can’t stand seeing us doing well, right?”
Suddenly someone grabbed my hair and pushed me to the ground.
Someone picked up the perfume from the counter and sprayed it into my eyes. For a moment, my eyes felt burning and painful.
Another colleague took off the shoes he was trying on and pressed them on my face.
“Sophia, if it weren’t for Isabelle, you would never have experienced luxury in your life. Today you are lucky.”
The salesgirl next to her advised:
“These things are not samples. Once you open them, you must buy them.”
Ryan scoffed.
“You are so ignorant. Just these things, Isabelle can buy them all in your store with a wave of her
hand.”

As he said this, Ryan deliberately threw the vase at me.
“Sophia, why don’t you apologize to Isabelle?”
I struggled to my feet and pushed Ryan down.
“I did nothing wrong, why should I apologize?”
Without hesitation, other colleagues picked up various objects on the counter and threw them at
- me.
Seeing the mess in the store, the counter clerk tried to stop them but was pushed to the ground. “Why are you in such a hurry? It’s not like you won’t pay.”
The counter manager directly took out the card machine.
“Then you should first pay for the current losses in the store, which is over 8 million, or we will call the police right away.”
Everyone stopped.
“She’s such a tactless person, she deserves not to make any money, Isabelle, pay her and we’ll go somewhere else.”
Isabelle pulled out a bank card and placed it on the card machine.
A few seconds later, the card machine beeped.
“Insufficient balance, payment failed.”
Isabelle frowned and looked at the counter clerk.
“There’s something wrong with your card machine.”
A colleague next to him also said:
“Why don’t you hurry up and get a new card machine? We are in a hurry to go somewhere else and don’t have time to waste with you here.”
The counter manager asked someone to get another card swipe machine.
Isabelle swiped the card impatiently.
After a beep, the sound of insufficient balance and payment failure was still heard.
