Chapter 8
This was proof enough that I had long lost the ability to harm others.
My father and brother’s pupils contracted in shock.
Julian tried to approach, but I gave him one cold glance, and his feet seemed unable to move another
inch toward me.
“Katie’s hands are ruined–how could she hurt anyone? If she really wanted to hurt someone, she could have done it like this. Why would she only give Aria a tiny cut?” someone said.
“She’s gone mad! The Shred family’s eldest daughter has gone mad!”
“Can you blame her? Her own father and brother take the side of the mistress and her daughter
without question. Who wouldn’t go mad?”
“What do you all know? She’s doing this because she’s afraid Mr. Reid will come after her later!”
I turned to look at Julian and suddenly asked, “Are you satisfied now?”
Julian’s face turned ashen.
It was as if countless needles were pricking his heart, numbing him with pain.
His lips trembled, but not a single word came out.
“Since you all have nothing to say, it’s my turn now!”
“Mr. Shred, since you both despise me so much, today, in front of everyone, I’m cutting all ties with
you.
“From now on, I, Katie Shred, has nothing to do with the Shred family! But I won’t let my mother’s belongings stay in the hands of her enemies!”
Then I instructed my bodyguard to bring out my mother’s inheritance list.
I pointed at the emerald bracelet on my stepmother’s wrist. “That was from my grandmother to my
mother, part of the inheritance meant for me!”

Next I pointed at the necklace around Aria’s neck. “That was a coming–of–age gift my mother
prepared for me before she died. You should return it too! And this… and this…”
I identified each item of my mother’s they had stolen.
The “perfect family of four” looked absolutely ghastly.
‘Every single item on this list must be returned! Otherwise, I won’t hesitate to sue Linda and Aria for
theft.”
Hearing that, Aria started crying, playing the victim again.
She clutched my brother’s hand tightly. “Alex, I’ve already given away many of these things. How
can I possibly return them?”
Alex was furious. “Katie, are you deliberately trying to make things difficult?”
My expression remained cold. “Alex, let’s make a deal. I still hold ten percent of Shred Group’s shares. I’ll trade them for all of my mother’s belongings, including what she left for you!”
I would never allow Alex to use my mother’s belongings to please that vicious mother–daughter duo!
Mom’s spirit would never rest in peace otherwise!
Ten percent of Shred Group shares–something my father had coveted for ten years but never
managed to get.
Hearing my offer, he immediately forgot about Linda’s feelings.
‘You’re serious?” he asked.
I nodded. “But if I discover even one item still in Linda or Aria’s possession, I’ll sell the shares to the
Fairfax family instead!”
‘Fine! I agree!” My father rushed to accept the deal.
In this way, I successfully signed the family severance agreement and secured ownership of all my mother’s belongings.
Alex looked at me with complicated emotions. “Ten percent of Shred Group is worth a fortune. Are you sure about this?”

“I don’t care about Shred Group’s money. But I definitively won’t let my mother’s treasures be
desecrated by her enemies!”
I randomly handed him the severance document my father had already signed. “You sign it too.”
Alex stared at me intently and said firmly: “I won’t sign it.”
I raised my bloody hands. “What right do you have to refuse?
“Do you really think you deserve to be my brother?
“Or maybe you want me and Aria under the same roof so I can beat her up again?”
“Alex, let me tell you this–as long as I’m alive, I’ll eventually find a way to destroy your precious stepmother and stepsister!”
Alex’s face turned extremely ugly.
In the end, he picked up the pen and signed his name.
From that moment on, I had no connection to the Shred family or to him!
Even if I died, he would have no right to cry at my grave!
“Oh, by the way, today is Aria’s birthday. Didn’t you want me to apologize and give her a gift? I’ve already prepared it!”
Finally, I took out my “treasure” from the bank safety deposit box.
A large screen lit up and began playing videos.
When they saw who was in the videos, my father and Linda went berserk.
“These are videos someone specially recorded and sent to my mother every day while she was
undergoing chemotherapy, fighting for her life–just to make sure she wouldn’t survive, wouldn’t ive a few years longer!”
There weren’t just videos but also WhatsApp conversations. Every video clip, every disgusting photo, had been personally taken by Linda and sent to my mother.
‘Enjoy the show!” I said.

Looking at the video and conversation records in front of them, all the guests were stunned.
