As they walk into the packhouse, Donovan leaves Florence to the omegas to take care of her as she needs to get ready for the Luna ceremony tonight. Linda did not want to wear the traditional Luna dress that all
previous Lunas wore to the ceremony. Instead, she wanted a unique dress, and Donovan gave her everything she wanted. Unfortunately, Donovan’s mother and father died a long time ago in a rogue attack, and that is why Blaze could not believe that his friend had become a rogue. The omegas look at the new Luna. They hope she is not a b***h as their previous Luna was. Donovan was blind to Linda’s mistakes and her
personality. Florence is a lady, and she will never be jealous of her mate as she knows how the mate bond
works. She is soft at heart and talks in a soft voice. So even if the elders and members of the Crimson Moon Pack saw her as a bastard. They all loved her for her personality and good manners.
“Luna, do you want us to order you a dress from town for the ceremony?” One of the omegas asks. She dared to ask and hoped the Luna does not shout at her.
“Don’t you have a traditional Luna ceremony dress?” Florence asks softly, smiling at the shared omega.
“Of course, we have,” A voice comes from upstairs. An elderly lady is standing at the top of the stairs. She heard her grandson come home, and she was just about to greet him since he had forgotten to go and greet
his grandmother.
“Oh, good day, Elder Mother. I am Florence Walker, the new Luna and second change mate to Alpha Donovan,”
Florence says respectfully to the elderly she–wolf.
“Call me, grandma and come with me. I will show you our traditional ceremony dress. The b***h Linda
thought she was too good to wear it. I am glad my grandson, at last, found his real fated mate,” Doreen
Gordon says. Her mate is somewhere in the house. They were too old to run the pack when Donovan
disappeared after that b***h died. They are thankful for Blaze, who took over and helped them run the pack
and hide the fact that Donovan had disappeared.
“Thank you, grandmother,” Florence says. Her eyes are downcast as she is being respectful to an elder. But, what did Donovan’s grandmother mean by “real fated mate“? Was Linda not his destined mate? Florence
looks at the photos against the wall as they walk into a big room. There is a younger Donovan with a
beautiful blond she–wolf by his side in the pictures. Her eyes are cold, and the smile on her face never
reached her eyes. She does not look as in love with Donovan as he is with her. It hurts Florence to see them
together, and she looks away.
“Take all the photos of that b***h down! I never want to see a photo of her again!” Doreen Gordon orders the
omegas. So they do as the old she–wolf orders. They like their new Luna, and they can see she has a good
upbringing and has class and style. Unlike Linda, she is kind and well–mannered.
Doreen takes a beautiful old dress from the cupboard and hands it to Florence. She can see Florence loves it,
making her old heart happy. Florence quickly puts on the dress, and it fits her perfectly. The omegas quickly
go and clean the dress to be ready for tonight. Next, the omegas start doing Florence’s hair, nails and
makeup. As Florence is a natural beauty, she does not need a lot of makeup, and they only apply light
makeup. Florence looks and feels like a Queen when she has the dress on and goes downstairs for the
ceremony. Donovan has noticed that all the photos of him and Linda have been removed. But to his surprise, it does not upset him, and he can feel the wolf inside him become joyful again as if a heavy burden has been lifted from his shoulders.

Donovan does not understand why he feels better now that the photos are gone. Linda was his mate, and although he got a second chance on a mate as an Alpha, he must still feel a little lost without his first mate. Yet, he can not even remember what she sounded like or looked like. He feels almost as if a curse has lifted from him. He can not remember one day he spent with Linda being happy and carefree. He needs to talk to his grandmother as she always warned him that Linda was not his fated mate. He looks at Florence walking down the stairs, and when he sees her, his heart feels free and full of love. He walks forward to take her hand, and he feels the tingling feeling between them, something he never felt with Linda. What happened? Why does he no longer feel haunted by the image of Linda?
The Luna ceremony takes place, and Florence’s brothers and their close friends attend the ceremony. Willow and Howard are also present, and Howard feels something is odd. He can feel the presence of an old gipsy spell, and he knows what the spell is as soon as he feels it. The spell is ancient, and no one has used it for a long time. In the old times, when there were still werewolf Kings and Queens, the parents of the Princes and Princesses would use the spell to make their children think another royal wolf was their fated mate. It was to keep the Royals from mating with their fated mates and bring dishonour to the Royal families by allowing peasants to become Kings and Queens. So the spell is called: the fake mate spell. The council of Werewolves banned the spell as it courses many hardships to the real mates of the one under the spell. When the fake mate died, many of those under the spell went crazy as the spirit of their fake mate always haunted them unless the objects placed in the palaces that carried the curse were removed and destroyed. Howard knows he has to find the curse objects that the previous Luna used so that the Alpha can be set free from this spell for good, or the spirit of the fake Luna will haunt him if he ever gets in touch with the objects again.
“She used the photos of them to cast the spell. I took the pictures down this morning, and Donovan returned to his old self,” An elderly she–wolf speaks behind Howard. Doreen knows a wizard and a witch when she sees one, and she knows when she sees the wizard’s face that he could tell there is something wrong.
“Take me to that cursed photos. I need to destroy them immediately as they can course your family a lot of trouble,” Howard says. He and Doreen walk away. Her husband is sitting next to the new Luna and Alpha. Gavin Gordon the grandfather of Donovan, is happy that his grandson has returned, and he is satisfied that
he found a new mate. He could never understand why his grandson had to have a mate like Linda. Linda was
greedy, and he never saw love for Donovan in her eyes.
Doreen takes Howard to the box of photos, and he can feel the evil magic at once. He walks over to the box
and looks at it. He puts his hands over the box.
“Inferno!” He shouts. The box and its content start burning. At the table, Donovan feels something ripped from his heart, as if his bond with Linda is breaking forever. Yet, he does not feel any sadness, and it
surprises him. Instead, he feels happy, and his hand automatically reach for his Luna.
The ceremony is over, and the brothers feel happy as they see their sister in the hands of a great Alpha. But then, they all go their different ways and do not speak with each other as everyone has to think about what their next step is going to be. Finally, Donovan feels free, knowing he is free to love his mate. He was insane for a while, but the longer he stayed away from his packhouse, the more he forgot about Linda. He was afraid to go back as her memories would fill his mind again. He tried to go back many times, but as soon as he walked into the packhouse and saw Linda’s face, he wanted to go crazy with grief and kill, so he stayed away for his own sanity. Finally, he does not feel this hardship and pain when he walks into the packhouse. Even this afternoon, when he walked in, he felt it when he looked at Linda’s face, but it is all gone now.

“Grandmother, you once told me that Linda was not my fated mate. Why?” Donovan asks his grandmother.
“She put an old gipsy spell in you, my dear,” Doreen says and tells him everything Howard told her and how
they destroyed the cursed objects.
“I understand so many things now. Linda was not jealous. She was afraid I would meet my fated mate, and when a she–wolf talked to me or even looked at me, she killed them. Maybe she thought the fated mate could break the spell,” Donovan says. He is glad that the spell has been lifted and that he was free of Linda for good. She was not a good she–wolf.
“Linda was greedy and wanted the fame and money that came with the Silver Moon Pack. I wonder what she would have done if she met her fated mate? Would she have killed him or you?” Doreen says. Gavin Gordon listens to all of this, and he feels angry. If he knew back then what he knows now, he would have killed that b***h a long time ago. He is glad Linda is dead and that her own greet coursed her death. She did not know everything about the spell, and that is why she was following Donovan around all the time. She was afraid that his true mate would break the spell if he met his destined mate. Only a stupid b***h like her would go to a gipsy to perform a spell for her that she knew nothing about.
“Well am glad it is over now and that I met my true mate. I can now show my true feelings for you. I thought

the packhouse,” Donovan says to Florence.

“Come to think of it. When we first met, Linda gave me a watch and told me always to keep it close to me when she was not near me. We fought one night, and in my anger, I threw the watch she gave me into the fireplace. Linda went crazy and almost clawed my eyes out. She said it was an ancient watch given to her by her grandfather, and she wanted to go and visit him, but I refused as it was far away, and I could not leave the pack for that long. Since then, she has followed me everywhere I went and even refused to let me go to the Alpha meeting alone. She would not let me out of her sight. The watch must have been cursed, and she did not trust me to go out by myself as she was afraid I would meet my real mate,” Donovan says.
“Well, that can explain why she got jealous when you talked to she–wolves in the packhouse, as she might have thought that her spell lost some of its potency,” Doreen says.
“Yes, in the beginning, she was confident in her spell, but later on, she must have gotten paranoid. It is over now, and we don’t have to worry about it anymore. It is getting late, and grandma and I need to go to bed,” Gavin says. He wants to leave the two young wolves alone to seal their mate bond. The mate bond is powerful, and no magic,or potions can break it once sealed. Donovan takes his mate to his room, and that night, he makes her his mate. Florence is now the new true Luna of the Silver Moon Pack, and Donovan is set free from a cursed love.
