Her face lifted, and she looked at Hale. 

In the depths of his eyes was a profound and dark gaze, fixed on the phone she held. 

As if time had slowed down, Cathy’s hand slowly dropped as she gazed at the phone screen. 

There, it was blank. 

Hale hadn’t dialed any number just now!
