Chapter 51
Olivia reached out and ruffled his hair. “Be good, okay?”
Julian tilted his head up and leaned closer. “I want a kiss.”
“If you behave, I’ll kiss you.”
“If you kiss me, I’ll behave.”
Olivia had no choice but to lean down and give him a quick kiss on the lips.
With a satisfied smile, Julian finally stood up and headed for the balcony.
As Olivia was wondering what he was up to, she saw him hop over the railing and jump down. Startled, she hurried over to look down, only relaxing once she saw that he’d landed safely.
After a while, Olivia also went downstairs for dinner. She saw Chloe in casual clothes, setting the table with a few maids.
Apparently, Dylan was worried people would find out he’d brought his mistress home, so he had Chloe pretend to be a maid.
Chloe seemed quite willing to put up with anything–still refusing to move out, even after all this.
The maids Dylan brought over were all from Wilson Manor. To avoid raising suspicion that might reach Morgan, Olivia had no choice but to sit beside Dylan at the table.
Just as she was about to take a seat, Chloe slipped behind her and deliberately pulled the chair away.
Julian strode over, grabbed Olivia’s arm, and steadied her. He then turned to Chloe and said, “Since you like this chair so much, then stand there and hold it while we eat. You can put it down when we’re done.”
His voice was calm, but it carried a chilling threat.
Scared by his tone, Chloe shivered and instinctively took a step back. She was also intimidated by his intense aura and murderous glare and got goosebumps all over.
But then she remembered–this was Dylan’s house and he called the shots here. That thought instantly gave her a boost of confidence.
She bit her lip, putting on a pitiful face as she turned to Dylan and said, “Honey, I didn’t mean to. I just wanted to straighten the chair a little. How was I supposed to know Ms. Kaur would sit down so quickly without looking?
“Now the guest is blaming me. It’s so unfair. Oh, sorry, that just slipped out. I’m so stupid. I guess I’m just too used to calling you ‘honey‘ at home. I didn’t even realize I said it…”
She covered her mouth, acting like she’d made an innocent mistake, while her gaze lingered flirtatiously on Dylan.
Being forced to play the maid had already left her feeling resentful. She’d pulled the chair on purpose, and calling Dylan “honey” was intentional, too..
She just couldn’t stand seeing Olivia doing better than her. This was her way of quietly declaring that Dylan was hers.
Honestly, she really wanted to go public with her relationship with Dylan. Even if people called her a homewrecker, as long as Dylan loved her, she’d find a way to show everyone they were the real deal and Olivia had come between them.
But Dylan didn’t want their relationship exposed, so she could only pretend it was just a slip of the tongue.
Dylan’s expression darkened, but he just offered a half–hearted warning. “Be more careful next time.”
Then he turned to Julian, his tone a bit more respectful. “Mr. Hudson, she said it was an accident, and Olivia didn’t fall. Let’s just let it go, okay?”

Chapter 51
“Olivia, what do you think?” he added before shooting her a warning look that clearly told her to play along
But before Olivia could say a word, Julian suddenly kicked out in Chloe’s direction.
Chloe let out a shriek as she was sent flying, crashing straight into Dylan’s chair and knocking both him and the chair to the floor. The two of them landed in a heap.
Julian remained perfectly calm. “Oops. My bad. I’d been standing too long and my leg got stiff, so I figured I’d stretch a little. She wasn’t paying attention and just happened to be in my ‘stretching zone,‘ so I accidentally kicked her.”
Chloe was furious. ‘How could a man be so downright awful?‘ she cursed inwardly. ‘He actually kicked a woman–and so hard, too. She couldn’t even move her left hand now.
Tears streamed down her face as she sobbed in grievance, “Ho… Mr. Wilson, I can’t feel my left hand. You have to stand up for me.”
Before Dylan could reply, Olivia said, “Stand up for you? He already said it was an accident. Besides, you’re still alive, aren’t you? Just let it go.”
“You…” Chloe’s face flushed bright red with rage, her chest heaving as she struggled to find someone to blame.
In the end, Dylan personally took her to the hospital, and only then did the villa finally quiet down.
At the dining table, only Olivia and Julian remained.
Olivia glanced up at Julian. “You really went overboard. What if she sues you? What are you going to do then?”
“Overboard?” Julian said, looking utterly unfazed. His tone was still calm and casual, but it was laced with podthirsty cruelty.
“She should be grateful this happened in Gravellia,” he continued. “If we were in East Nytherra and she tried to hurt you in front of me, I’d have chopped off her hands and fed them to the dogs.”
Olivia couldn’t help but shiver. “What, were you a bandit in East Nytherra or something?”
Julian let out a low chuckle. The bloodthirsty edge vanished in an instant, and he became as laid–back and easygoing as usual. Half–joking, he said, “Bandit? Nah. They used to call me the Nightmare of East Nytherra.”
Olivia rolled her eyes, clearly not buying it. She figured he was just joking around.
It was almost eleven at night when Dylan and Chloe finally got back.
Chloe’s hand was just dislocated. After it was popped back into place, she could move it again, but she couldn’t carry anything heavy for a while.
The moment Chloe stepped into the villa and saw Julian, her whole body stiffened with fear. She didn’t even dare to breathe loudly and stayed hidden behind Dylan the entire time.
She had cried her heart out to Dylan on the way back, begging him to stand up for her. But Dylan just told her she had it coming. If she hadn’t tried to pull a stunt, she wouldn’t have gotten kicked.
Plus, she’d accidentally called Dylan “honey” in front of others. If Dylan took her side now, it would only confirm that there was something going on. between them–and word would definitely get back to Morgan through the maids.
So, she had no choice but to swallow her frustration and keep quiet.
“Mr. Hudson, why are you still up this late?” Dylan was surprised to see Julian still in the living room.
Julian put down his phone and looked up. “I get scared sleeping alone at night. Why don’t you bunk with me tonight?”
“What?” Dylan thought he had misheard. He couldn’t believe Julian, a grown man–tall, strong, and all that–was scared of sleeping alone. “Uh… I don’t think that’s a good idea. We’re both guys…”

He looked visibly uncomfortable. He barely knew Julian, and sharing a room with Julian would make him super uneasy–he’d probably be up all night.
“That’s exactly why it’s perfect,” Julian said. “Men have a strong masculine energy–it helps keep nightmares away!”
Dylan frowned. “How about I get a bodyguard to stay with you?”
Julian shook his head. “Nope, it has to be you.”
Dylan’s expression changed instantly. He instinctively clenched his butt cheeks and gave Julian a wary look. ‘Wait a second… Does this guy… want to do it with me?‘ he couldn’t help but wonder.
