Chapter66
Reginald seemed to have eyes on the back of his head, suddenly
threatened, “No more ideas about throwing ice cubes, get out.”
Adelaide had no choice, she walked out of the kitchen numbly.
I was so thirsty.
She drank several cups of water again. It felt refreshing as the
water passed through her throat, but soon she felt thirsty again. It was like pouring a bottle of water into the desert and it drying
up instantly.
I really regret not checking carefully what was in the duck soup
back then, how could it be so delicious.

While she was pacing back and forth in agitation, Reginald
came out with a small bowl.
“Drank.”
Adelaide glanced down and saw… water?
“Did you boil water for me to drink?” If possible, Adelaide really
wants to say now: “I really want to thank you.”
Reginald couldn’t help but chuckle, “Radish water, the cure.”
Chapter56
It turned out to be radish water.
“Thanks.” Adelaide took the bowl, blew on it, then drank it all in
one gulp. “Is there more?”
“Um.”
Adelaide helped herself to the kitchen and then went to serve.
Reginald leaned casually against the kitchen door, arms crossed,
looking at her with a face full of excitement. “Don’t drink so
much next time, no matter how good it tastes.”
“So what exactly was in the old duck soup?”
“Draven used to be into herbs.”
Well, she got it.
Reginald was both concerned and amused by her, “How are you
feeling?”
“I’m feeling a bit better now.” Adelaide took out a tissue from her pocket to wipe the sweat off her forehead. After calming down a bit, she said, “Sorry, Mr. Thorton, for disturbing your
rest.”
“I just came down to have a drink of water.”
“You haven’t drunk yet, let me pour you some.”
Chapter66
“No, I’ve already had a drink,” Reginald put down his arm, “I’ll
just go upstairs and take a nap after drinking, I’ll be fine
tomorrow morning.”
“Yeah, got it.”
Reginald saw her cheeks still slightly flushed, looking even
more charming and attractive. Even if she didn’t do it on
purpose, it was very enticing.
He didn’t take another look, he turned around and went
upstairs to take a shower.
Adelaide also sluggishly went back to her room, took a shower,
and then lay down to sleep.
I was sleeping soundly until I heard footsteps outside, even
though they were quite light, I still heard them.
She got up and checked the time, it was already eight o’clock, so
she quickly got out of bed and washed up.
She opened the door and bumped right into Nathan.
“Mr. Hurst, what’s wrong with you?” She noticed the ibuprofen
in Nathan’s hand and instinctively asked, “Mr. Hurst, are you
running a fever or having a headache?”
Nathan sighed, “It was Mr. Thorton, suddenly got a high fever.”
Chapter 6
Adelaide was shocked: “Mr. Thorton had a fever?”
Wasn’t last night good?!
“Yeah, it’s almost 40 degrees.”
“Didn’t you call the doctor?”
“Mr. Thorton wouldn’t let me call.”
Adelaide said, “A grown man like this afraid of doctors? This is
serious, don’t let him burn his brain, Mr. Hurst, I suggest you
call a doctor, don’t let him have his way. I reckon Mr. Thorton is confused now, even if he wants to resist, he doesn’t have the
strength to resist.“”
Just like picking up fish on a cutting board, easy peasy.
Nathan was amazed in his heart: No wonder she’s th

Mr. Thornton likes, she’s really tough.
