Garrett bitterly said, “I know it’s no use saying anything now, but I still have to explain to you. I was drugged tonight before I had sex with Amanda.”
“Finley tricked me with the client’s matter, then drugged me in

Garrett cried on the phone, “Sorry Adele, I’m just too useless and

For some reason, Adelaide had a strong sense of foreboding
when she heard those words.
She took a deep breath silently and forced herself to say calmly,
“Garrett, I hope you can be rational. We really have reached the
end.”

Adelaide’s tense body instantly relaxed, she turned around,
lowered her head, and said, “Sorry, Mr. Thorton, I was just on
the phone and didn’t notice you here. Is there something urgent
you need from me?”
Seeing her like that, Reginald already felt the urge to bring Garrett over and take him out. He opened the door with a stern. face, “Shouldn’t it be you who has something to say, apologizing to me.” Finally, he made a statement, “They bullied you.”
