Chapter 95
Jessica smiled and said, “Mr. Green, please stay. Regarding the matter about Ben, I need you to prepare a report. Stay behind and tell me the real situation. Leave the computer as well.”
Everyone looked at Chris with sympathetic eyes, but no one knew how pleased he felt inside.
“This is the first time I’ve seen you handle work like this,” Chris said as he walked directly over to Jessica, lifted a strand of her long hair to his lips, and kissed it. “Very sexy.”
Jessica was pleased by Chris’s straightforwardness and smiled as she hugged him tightly.
“Otherwise, why do you think I pushed you into this position?” said Jessica, resting her arms on Chris’s shoulders.
Chris reached out, grabbed her knees, and with a bit of strength, lifted her up and placed her on the table.
Chris instinctively looked up toward the surveillance camera in the corner.
Jessica turned his head back, saying, “Focus. I already turned off the surveillance.”
“Ms. Wilder, I thought you put me in this position because you recognized my talent, not because of…” He leaned close to her ear and whispered, “whispers in bed.”
They rarely flirted like this, and Jessica actually felt a bit regretful.
Because of the Hall family, she could only hide her love for Chris in her heart or let it bloom just between them.
She really wished everyone knew they loved each other.
“Just as good.” Jessica smiled at him. “Your talent is as good as your whispers in bed.”
Chris went downstairs to begin his ward rounds.
Jessica had left the hospital at some unknown time.
After getting into the car, she reapplied her lipstick in the mirror, her smile never fading.
Jessica was very satisfied with the current situation.
If they could successfully remarry, it would be even better.
But…
Thinking of Michael, her expression darkened.
Michael was an extreme person.
Previously, he thought Chris was blocking his path and, at the Wilder family’s old mansion, he was willing to harm himself just to frame Chris.
People targeted by someone like that rarely have a good ending.
She could not put Chris in the eye of the storm.
The car started moving.
Just after leaving the hospital car park, Jessica said, “Go to the Twilight.”
The Twilight was a private VIP club that only accepted members.
The primary qualification to become a member was having a net worth exceeding 2 million dollars.
Getting a membership card required a financial check.

The waiters at the Twilight were very perceptive.
All members‘ photos were reviewed in advance, and having a photographic memory was a basic requirement.
Moreover, each member’s car was also recognized to provide better service.
The car stopped at the entrance, and the valet politely opened the door and helped Jessica out.
“Mrs. Wilder.”
“Which private room?” Jessica asked as she walked inside.
The waiter gestured politely, “She’s waiting for you in room 111. She arrived ten minutes ago.”
After leading her there, the waiter knocked on the door and stepped back.
All guests here demanded privacy and did not require on–site service, so the door would never be opened for anyone else.
Jessica pushed open the door.
Inside the spacious private room, only one person was looking at a computer.
“Does it have to be this extravagant?” asked Jessica.
The woman at the computer didn’t look back, focused intently.
“What else can I do? The tail has been following me for several days now. I lost them nearby and happened to come in under your name. They probably wouldn’t suspect our relationship.”
Looking up, Jennifer smiled.
