Olivia said, not giving a damn at all, “Then I’ll deal with that when the time comes. For now, at least I have someone to rely on”
With that, she ignored them and turned to leave the bar.
Olivia walked alone down the foreign streets, her mind a mess.
Dylan’s words were harsh, but not without truth. Once Morgan passed away, the Wilson family would be under Dylan’s full control.
And Dylan didn’t even have to do anything drastic. All he had to do was stop helping the Kaur family. They couldn’t afford the bank’s monthly interest on their own. It wouldn’t take long before the entire family ended up behind bars.
But Olivia also knew that even if she tried to play nice with Dylan, as long as Chloe was around, she’d still throw fits and pull every manipulative trick in the book to make Dylan cut off support to the Kaur family.
Olivia murmured. “Having a baby is the only way.”
She had to get pregnant and give birth before Morgan passed, so he’d write her name into the will
If she could inherit part of Novara Group’s shares, she’d finally have money in her own hands, and that was the only way she could protect the Kaur family.
She knew that having leverage of her own was always more secure than depending on someone else.
With that thought, Olivia suddenly felt anxious. No one knew how much longer Morgan could hold on. She had to get pregnant as soon as possible.
Olivia did the math. Her ovulation period would start in two days. It lasted ten days, just enough to cover this entire trip. No matter what, she had to get pregnant during this window.
She didn’t want to contact Dylan, so she didn’t bother asking which hotel he had originally booked. Instead, she randomly picked one and checked in on
her own.

Just as Olivia was checking her screen, another call from him came through. She then answered the call.
Dylan’s furious, explosive voice nearly blow out her eardrums. “What the hell were you doing last night that you couldn’t pick up the phone? What kind of shady crap were you up to? Did you hook up with another guy again? Open the damn door.”
Olivia moved the phone away from her ear, frowning in confusion.
She thought, ‘Why is Dylan telling me to open the door? Is he standing outside my room? How the hell did he even find out which hotel I checked into, and my room number?
And if he really y was standing outside my room, would he have the decency to call instead of banging on the door?
Olivia ran her fingers through her messy hair, tossed the phone aside, and slowly went to wash up and get dressed before finally opening the door.
Chapter 11
The moment it swung open, the saw Dylan standing there with a stern lace.
Meeting his sinister gaze, Olivia felt a strange chill creep down her spine.
Chloe was standing beside hint, looking deeply aggrieved. Her fists were clenched so tightly that her knuckles had turned white.
In front of the two of them were four hotel security guards in uniform, holding stun batons and riot shields, standing in formation at the door
Chloe thought, ‘So that’s why Dylan suddenly got so polite. The security guards were blocking him.
Dylan didn’t say a word and immediately tried to push past the guards and enter the room. But the guards didn’t budge, standing firmly in his way:
One of them politely asked in Auralian, “Ma’am, do you know this man? He used a marriage certificate last night to check your reservation information,
“But when he asked us to open the door for him, we noticed that he and the woman beside him were acting very close, more like a couple. We had doubts about his identity and asked him to call you for confirmation.
“Since he couldn’t prove he was telling the truth, we stopped him from banging on your door and disturbing you. Do you know him?”
Olivia said, “Thank you for your help. He is my husband. Let him in.”
The guards looked at her with sympathetic expressions.
Dylan, with a gloomy expression, shoved past the guards and strode into the room,
He looked around, checking the bathroom and the closet. Then he walked over to the bed and pulled backie blanket to inspect the sheets. When he saw the clean bedding, his grim face finally eased a little.
“What are you looking for?” Olivia asked, frowning
Dylan replied coldly, “I lost a watch last night. I was checking to see if you took it.”
Olivia gave a half–smile. “It must be a pricey watch to make you call me more than a hundred times and wait outside my door all night.”
Dylan’s expression didn’t change. “Chloe gave it to me. It’s not expensive, but to me, it’s priceless.”
Olivia found it boring. She let out a short laugh, grabbed her bag, and said as she walked out, “Fine. Take your time and look.”
“Where are you going?” Dylan reached out and grabbed her arm.
Olivia shook off his hand, clearly annoyed. “I’ll go wherever I want. You don’t get to tell me what to do. Go keep your mistress company.”
Dylan sneered, “Off to hook up with another random guy?”
Olivia shot back, “Even if I were heading off to sleep with an alien, it’s none of your business.”
Dylan gritted his teeth and reminded her, “Don’t forget, I’m paying you a hundred thousand dollars a day to stick around. If you walk off now, expect a single cent

The first time Dylan tried to give Chloe money, she’d acted offended and turned him down on purpose just to impress him and make him, think aha class. What she didn’t expect was that Dylan really would stop offering
Ever since then, Dylan had never brought it up again, worried he’d be insulting her. All he did was buy her a few gifts now and then.
But since he believed Chloe didn’t care about money, the gifts were only mid–tier luxury–not the high–end kind.
Chloe was so furious she could hardly breathe. She thought, “Back then, when Dylan tried to give me money, I only pretended to turn it down to seem classy. Why did I actually reject it?
“Fine, don’t give me money–but why give Olivia so much? That money is supposed to be part of our future marital assets. How could he let that wretch benefit from it?”
“Sweetheart, forget about the watch. Let’s go out and look around. I’ll buy you a new one,” Chloe said, forcing down her anger. She walked gracefully over to Dylan and wrapped her arm around his, as if staking her claim.
Dylan had never lost any watch. It was just an excuse to check Olivia’s room for another man.
Chloe planned to use that excuse

Since she couldn’t get any cash, her plan was to buy more luxury goods and quietly resell them later for money. That was how Chloe had always done things over the years.
