“Then I look forward to the day Miss Grace makes Alpha Kaelen stand again.”
Seeing that I smiled instead of getting angry, Grace bit her lip.
“Miss Elira, could it be that you’re jealous of me? I heard Mrs. Velmoran admires you greatly and believes only you could heal Kaelen. The Pack elders say whoever heals Kaelen proves they’re his destined Luna… but now, only I can become his Luna.”
Kaelen, sitting in his wheelchair, said coldly:
“Elira, even if you could heal me, I would never hold a bonding ceremony with you. Grace is the only
one in my heart.”
“When my mother introduced you earlier, I thought you were some impressive healer, but it seems the Moonshadow family’s medical skills are just a fraud. Your presence only disgusts me.”
No longer hiding my weariness, I turned to Mrs. Velmoran: “Since Kaelen has chosen his lifelong mate and decided my medical skills are fake, there’s no need for me to check whether the medicine Grace brought will work.”
As I prepared to leave, Grace reached out to stop me.
“Elira, are you questioning whether the Lunashade Fern I brought is real? If so, do you dare to make a bet with me? Let’s bet on who can heal Kaelen. The loser will be banished from the Pack and
demoted to a rogue!”
I stopped and looked back at her:
“I accept. But I won’t treat Kaelen.”
“I will treat… Theron.”
“Within ten days, we’ll see whether you can make your Alpha mate Kaelen stand, or if I can awaken the sleeping Theron.”
As soon as I finished speaking, the hall erupted. Betas and Gammas whispered among and even the Pack elders in the corner looked up.

“Theron of the Silverhollow family has been in a coma for a year. They say his inner wolf has completely disappeared. That’s even harder than healing Kaelen.”
“I heard the Silverhollow family has been using moonstone to keep him barely alive. If Miss Elira can truly awaken him, it would be like the Moon Goddess herself intervening.”
“Ten days? Is she insane? Even if Luna herself descended, it would be difficult to awaken a deeply slumbering wolf spirit in such a short time.”
The surrounding doubts didn’t shake me. I nodded slightly: “I won’t lose.”
A cold gleam flashed in Grace’s eyes as her lips curled upward. “I accept your challenge. With all these witnesses present, Elira, you can’t back out when you lose.”
I nodded gently: “I won’t lose.”
Kaelen’s lips twisted into a contemptuous smile.
“Theron is practically a walking corpse. You can’t even heal my legs, yet you presume to heal Theron. Elira, if you admit defeat now, I might consider not banishing you from the Pack.”
My eyes imperceptibly scanned his legs as I spoke calmly: “Kaelen, medicine can be poison in the wrong doses. Be careful that Grace’s ‘superior‘ medical skills don’t give you some strange disease while failing to heal your legs.”
“You!” Grace’s face turned pale.
Too tired to continue, I turned and left. My inner wolf spoke leisurely: “Grace is just an ordinary she–wolf from the Morris family with no medical training whatsoever. She can’t possibly compete with you, yet she dares to challenge you.”
“The Moonshadow family has kept a low profile for years. It’s natural they don’t know my abilities,” I replied to my wolf.
News of our bet spread throughout all the tribes. Various Packs began placing wagers, turning it into a sensation.
To encourage Grace, Kaelen bet ten million moonlight stones on her victory.
The next morning, Mrs. Silverhollow personally drove me to the Silverhollow family hospital.
Entering the Silverhollow family’s treatment room, I saw a young man lying in a healing chamber
