Chapter 3
Someone kicked me in the stomach and I gasped in pain for a moment.
“You usually look down on others with an air of superiority, and now you are just jealous and want to destroy all of us, right?”
I endured the pain and reached out to push over the vase beside me.
The sound of the vase breaking startled everyone. I took this opportunity to push them away and stood up.
“What are you crazy about? I never stopped Isabelle from inviting you to a shopping spree. I just refused to let her use my ID. If you want to go, just show us your own ID. Why use mine?”
My colleague gave me a cold look.
“What’s wrong with using your ID card? Is there any need to be so petty?”
The colleague took out his ID card and handed it to Isabelle.
“Isabelle, Sophia doesn’t know what’s good for her, just leave her alone, use my ID card, I’m new
here too.”
“Isabelle, you can use mine too. I don’t mind. Just give me any bag when the time comes.”
Isabelle looked at the person in front of her, disgust flashing in her eyes, but her face was still
smiling.
When I was about to get off work, I suddenly felt a severe pain in my stomach, so I went to the bathroom. When I came back, I picked up my bag and prepared to leave work.
My hand paused slightly, feeling something was wrong.
I remember that when I went to the toilet, I was in a hurry, so my bag was unzipped and I forgot to zip it up, but now it is zipped up.
I immediately picked up the bag and checked it. I found that all my belongings were there, including my ID card in the inner pocket. I couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.
Ryan walked by me and couldn’t help but chuckle at my behavior.
“Sophia, are you suffering from paranoia?”
I rolled my eyes at him, too lazy to pay attention to him, so I just picked up my bag and left.
When I get home at night, I always feel uneasy and have a bad feeling.
When I was about to fall asleep, a phone call suddenly came.
After the call was connected, a female voice came through. It was a bank employee. I borrowed three million six months ago and have not yet repaid the loan. It has been overdue for a month.
I opened the message history and remembered that my cousin had an accident a year ago and asked me to borrow three million. At that time, I had a falling out with my parents because of Ryan and all my funds were frozen by them, so I lent three million to my cousin. Later, I forgot to repay the loan because I was too busy with work.
When I was about to repay the money, the staff continued:
“Miss Sophia, if you don’t repay on time, you will be blacklisted by the bank, and all your loans from the five major banks will be frozen and stopped.”

Hearing this, my fingers paused and suddenly I thought of something.
“I’m sorry, I don’t have that much money to pay back right now, please just freeze all my bank cards.”
After saying that, I blocked the bank staff.
Only then did I feel completely relieved. Now even if Isabelle took my ID card, she wouldn’t be able to get a loan.
The next day, I received a call from my housekeeper.
“Miss Sophia, today is Mrs. Sinclair’s birthday. Why don’t you come back to visit? Mrs. Sinclair has been missing Miss Sophia for more than a year.”
I looked at the calendar on the wall and felt sad. Today is my mother’s birthday, and I haven’t been back for more than a year since I had a falling out with my parents.
When I think about how I made my parents sad for more than a year because of that scumbag Ryan, I want to slap myself.
“Robert, I understand. I will go back tomorrow.”
After hanging up the phone, I planned to go to the shopping mall owned by my family to buy a birthday present for my mother.
