Shannon had been careless and didn’t notice Jennifer sitting inside, only roughly glanced at the spot.
“The position before she disappeared was there.”
Unlike Shannon, Jessica immediately spotted the woman wearing light blue long dress sitting by the window, smiling, at her phone.
That scene was as beautiful as a painting, and to Jessica, it seemed familiar from somewhere.
Her mind ached like a sharp needle prick, but soon calmed down, along with the turmoil inside her heart being suppressed.
Jennifer waited for her prey to approach step by step, finally stopping beside her.
“You want to see me.” Jessica’s tone was very certain, not even a question.
With the disappearance of the IP location and the anti–tracking end page deliberately left on the phone screen, Jessica was sure Jennifer was the person she had just located the legendary Dr.
“What would you like to drink?” Jennifer was not formal, pulling the lemonade closer to herself and saying casually, “I was originally going to your company to find you, but your receptionist didn’t seem very happy to see me. And from what I can see, you’re not her only boss.”
Shannon stared in disbelief as Jessica sat down.
Jennifer said, “If I had come today to discuss cooperation, you’ve already lost my technical support, all because of your receptionist.”
Jessica silently looked at Jennifer for a few seconds, then turned to Shannon and said, “No need to deduct performance points.
Fire her. Now.”
“Huh?” Shannon obviously hadn’t caught up with their pace, but Jessica was decisive.
She immediately took out her phone and called the front desk manager.
“Two coffees, no sugar, no milk,” Shannon called
to
the waiter.
Jennifer glanced at Jessica and said softly, “Change those to sodas for her, coffee can cause acid reflux.”
“What…”
Jessica didn’t care what to drink.
Her eyes were intense as she stared at Jennifer.
“Did you come today to talk about cooperation?”
Jennifer shrugged, “Actually, no. I came as an individual, but the receptionist stopped me. I didn’t expect you to track my
location.”
There was laughter and admiration shining in her eyes,
“You’re the first person to successfully locate me, even though I noticed immediately.”
If it weren’t to catch a big fish, no one could find her at all.
“So, what do you want?”
“You want my technology – simple. I want to join the Wilder Group’s IT research and development department, and I want complete freedom to develop independently, no one interfering.”
Shannon laughed after hearing that.

She rested one hand on the table and tapped it lightly, drawing attention.
Her tone was deep, “Miss, your tone is quite bold. Do you know the market value of the Wilder Group’s IT department?”
Jennifer was not anxious either.
“I know IT far better than you and want the Wilder Group to become the number one IT leader in the country even more. My ambition is nothing to you, but you should think carefully.‘
She tilted her head and smiled at Jessica.
“Without my technology backing, the Wilder Group will need at least ten more years to win in IT. So it’s not me begging you for a job it’s you who need me to join.”
“Don’t be so confidently.”
After hearing those words, Jennifer casually used one hand to operate her phone.
Then Shannon’s angry voice rang out.
Only then did Jennifer coolly lift her eyelids and say, “Shannon, your car is about to be towed.”
